Martine Wright's life changed for ever when she boarded a London Underground train on 7 July 2005. Minutes later a suicide bomber detonated his device and Martine, who was standing just three feet away, suffered terrible injuries, losing both legs above the knee. It's been a long, slow recovery, but now Martine and her fiance Nick are ready to look to the future. They are about to marry and have 500,000 pounds to spend on a roomy, accessible bungalow. Which is where Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer come in.

So the hunt is on in Hertfordshire, a county whose charms have also captured the second set of home-seekers, Dina and Pradeep. They are desperate to escape their small flat in London and have already seen up to 50 properties. Dina wants a house that will impress her friends and dismisses the first perfectly nice place she sees as "small", infuriating Kirstie. Yes, there's trouble ahead.

The second couple: just want smething to make friends go wow????

What: what about somewhere where the space works for them, where they can frolic through their home knowing its right for them, where the kitchen fits and the bathroom has room for two and the bedroom makes them frisky. why buy a house for other people????
