I've dusted and hoovered the lounge, even behind the sofas:rolleyes: All tidy in there now.
I've hoovered the stairs, landing and 2 bedrooms - quick tidy of the rooms too. I srcubbed the front door and letterbox, and windowsills, very clean now:D
Listed a few books on Amazon, I have a pile that were only going for 1p, so they can go to jumble. Put one bg of jumble out today and got another collection on Thurs so will get filling another bag. DD2 back from the park - play rangers are there on a Tues and had water slides out today so she's had fun.
We're going swimming tomorrow with friends - well girls swim, I watch with my friend:o So that won't be a costly day - £2.50 park and ride, £2.10 each to swim and will take snacks for after, but may buy a sausage roll on te way to the bus home.
I'm just off to sit in the sun with my book for a while, then make a lasagne for dinner:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
All sounds good Milly!!! Am impressed with your cleaning & hoovering, I REALLY need to do a good blitz in my lounge, but just not getting round to it!
Play rangers & water slides at the park sounds fun too, dont have anything like that in our parks!0 -

Arghh I've been useless and not updated in a while:o
We've had a good week - I seem to have spent a lot though which I feel dreadful about, but it's all things I can't really avoid - school stuff, few bits of clothes in sales for girls, taking them out...oh and a takeaway on Saturday....bad bad bad.
But...I have managed to stretch the food out so haven't done a big shop this week - just picked up bits we needed for £25. Waiting til Thurs when tax credits go in to do a decent shop again.
I've had a good day of tidying today - I emptied our understairs cupboard, which was full. I had 3 boxes of ironing so sorted through that - huge bag for jumble, one of winter stuff and another of current things, which I've ironed a load of tonight:p I have a huge box of books/games etc for ebay as well as 1.5 bags full of clothes to sell....lots is summer stuff though so will probably stick those up the attic to sell next year.
The cupboard is fab now - you can walk in it and i cleared the shelf unit in there so ALL our shoes are neatly away...not piled up in the hallway:rolleyes:
Dinner is on right now - meatballs and pasta. I've done double the amount of sauce so I can have portions in the freezer - it's a nice easy meal for me when girls are away, stuffed pasta and tom sauce...mmmmmm:D
My niece is here at the mo (she's 11), so my 2 have been kept amused - they've mostly been out on skates, weather's fab;)
Tonight I must make a meal plan for next week and I'll go shopping on Thursday. Girls are with their dad from Thurs til Sat, so a cheap few days for me!
Off to get dinner sorted....I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Just to let you know how bad the cupboard was - it took me 4 hours to sort it:eek:
Also had a lovely surprise when I checked my banking today - my lovely dad has paid in £3225 for my uni fees....I have swiftly moved the money to my savings acount til I need to pay. He's also going to send money for my books when i know how much I need.....fab fab fab:beer:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Argh I'm seriously lacking in any enthusiasm for anything today:(
Girls are with their dad and I haven't done much at all - just had hair cut, did Tesco shopping and home.
My main grump is money of course....I keep worrying about what I'll do when my youngest leaves home and goes to college in 8 years - I wont get my tax credits and hb, so will have to have somewhere small to live...which then worries me as where will girls stay when they come home from college?
I know it probably seems daft to worry about it now, but time seems to go fast...and I can't see myslef ever meeting anyone else...I don't go anywhere to meet them:o
Other people all seem to have more money than me...well they all have husbands too:rolleyes: It just feels like my kids will be old and gone soon enough and I don't want that to happen....wish they could be little forever:o
Anyway, enough of my miserable-ness...think I'll get an early night and hope I wake up feeling more positive.
Money-wise this week....rubbish....TCs have all gone - bought DD2 school shoes, owed her £10, owed my sis £10, lunch in Bristol on Thurs and £60 in Primark:o Did get girls some winter boots but also too many bits and bobs. We had a lovely day out though, just the three of us, I just wish I didn't have to feel so awful about spending some money. Boooooooooooo
Food shopping today came to £60, that's all meal-planned up til next Sunday and I needed petrol today too, just put £15 in.
£40 from ex will go in on Monday and that'll leave me £10 til Thurs, but I do have an overdraft facility, Ijust try not to use it.
Anyway, off tobrowse here and try find some smiles from somewhere:(I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Good luck Milly on your shiny new diary and fab news on the uni fees from your dad, that will be a great help. Don't be too harsh on yourself for spending some money as you say you had a lovely day out with the girls and you all deserved a treat.
When the time is right Milly you will meet someone and it will be when you least expect it, could you maybe have a night out with your sister or are there any other friends that would like a night out to a pub or pictures.
Another thought what about online dating
Well done on the house clean and clearance.0 -
Just came across your diary and wanted to say hello! :hello:. You must be excited about going to uni, it sounds great.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!"I don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderful."

Hi again Debidoodle and thank you for joining my new diary:D
Nights out.....I don't have any...ever! All my friends are attached, my sis lives an hour away and whenever work nights out are organised I have the girls...they're never on weekends when I could get a babysitter!
Online dating....well, I've looked but have chatted a few times to people, but I'd be far too scared to ever meet up...arghhh, how silly am I? I honestly think I'll be on my own forever and it scares me, being without the girls:(I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Hi there Ziggy - I saw your diary earlier...it was the PGCE that caught my eye! Maybe one day I'll get that far...I still have 3 years of degree study first:p And then I look at all the teachers I work with and think I could never do their job, I just don't have that confidence...arghhhh;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0
