Whoops, I've not updated for a few days:o Probably cos not much has been going on.....ebay sales slowed down, I only have a few things listed. Must get a few more on today.
Haven't spent much this week - did take girls shopping on Friday as both had Inset, so we had lunch (Subway!) and a wander round. Didn't buy much, £20 on bits and bobs in Primark:o, DD1 bought a tshirt, DD2 spent vouchers in Claires....but, when we got home we can't fint the earrings she bought, so I feel bad and will buy her more - that's £6...booooooo.
NSD yesterday - my mum and stepdad came here and he fixed a couple of things in the house. DD1's with her dad, DD2 was on a trip yesterday and is going to him soon. Asda shopping is coming tomorrow - should be enough til the end of the month - bar bread, milk during the week.
It's half term now, so won't be a wonderfully cheap week. Taking girls ice skaiting on Tues with my friend and her girls so that costs about £12 for the skating and I print off free skate hire tickets. Will take food and limit them to one portion of chips to share! So actually that's all I'll spend until my tax credits go in on Thurs. Need a couple of days at home too to relax!
House looking reasonably tidy, but there are a few sorting out jobs I could do with getting on with - girls clothes are in a bit of a mess....drawers full. Loads of paperwork needing sorting and stuff for ebay to iron. Hmmmm, must crack on;)
If you're reading....hope you're all well:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ok...spending for this week so far:
Monday, Tesco shopping was £55. Nipped to college library in the afternoon so bought DD2 a £2 mag to keep her happy while we were there. Posted 2 ebay sales too....£3.20.
Yesterday: Ice skating £12, used a free voucher for skate hire, saving £3.50. 1 coffee for me, £1.20 and bus fare £2.50.
Today I need petrol...so will probably go and use my 5p off a litre at T's. Need to buy flowers to take to my colleague's house tomorrow - going for the morning.
I'm currently sat in my bed, girls not long up and on the Wii downstairs. I was sooooo tired yesterday, going to do nothing much today!
Ex paid in £50 to my account yesterday - tis not quite the monthly maintenence of £200 is it?! And that includes money for girls to buy me a birthday present for next week....will give them £10 each for that and keep the remaining £30....well it'll buy my petrol anyway:o Apparently he gets paid on the 25th (mybday!) so hopefully more is on it's way to me next week.....can but hope eh?;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

It's very hard Bb, yes:p I feel I should amuse them all the time, but they're 12 and 10 now and quite happy to just lounge around at home....you need to sometimes?!! Was going to go to the cinema today, but that's never a cheap couple of hours out....and we can't agree on a film:rotfl: So a quiet day at home I think, with some baking this afternoon....they love to do it on their own now, I just hover on the pc nearby;)
Should crack on with the boring jbs too....I had filing/shredding to do like you, but manage to ignore it;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
A nice treat came in the post today - I bought some Body shop vitamin E night cream, illuminating day cream, intensive foot cream and hand cream - full price would have been £39.50.....I got it all reduced on the website and with a £5 off code and free delivery....so paid £14.50 for it all:beer: Oh, and £2 tracked on Quidco....bargain!!
Lovely bargain and the creams are all yummy.....a nice treat for me, seeing as I'm feeling fat and yuk right now:o
Not done much today...had a cuppa at my friend's this morning and this afternoon DD2 and I nipped out and bought tulips for my colleague tomorrow (£3), petrol (£21, used 5p off a litre voucher) and went to the council offices as they wanted to review HB so needed all my evidence of income....again. Hoping they'll decide they don't give me enough:rotfl: But the lady did say that child benefit is no longer counted so it might go up....I'm sure they've already taekn this into account, but I can hope;) So that was one good job done.
Dinner's on....jacket pots and chicken/ribs (diff choices for diff daughters:p)...I'm attempting to plan my essay.....attempting being the operative word;) (I need the roll eyes smiley now....)
Off I go....I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Just give us his name and address, he needs seriously sorting out!!! I know you have to keep a balanced view for the girls but every time you post that he's not paying up it makes me see red! How he imagines that you're going to do everything on a measly £50 including amusing HIS daughters during half term amazes me. Seems he blanks off and expects miracles from you. I know it won't make huge differences financially but perhaps next holiday you could make sure he has the girls for sevreal days then he can see just how much treating them costs or they can realise what a wonderful mum they have:A0 -

Oh I do think he just blanks off yes....he thinks he can just pay me if he has any spare...AFTER he's spent on what he needs to. Makes me sooooo mad that he doesn't see maintenance as top priority. Well, we'll see what he gives me on Thursday....I'm thinking I might have to go through the CSA as I can't trust him to pay a decent proportion of his income....we'll see.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I've been up since 6.40 this morning - girls have gone to a cheerleading competition in Wales so had french plaits to do and ponytails to curl!
They've gone now so I'm going to go to the Uni library soon, just having another coffee.
We met my sister and her 3 girls at the shops yesterday....had lunch and a wander and girls went off and bought my birthday presents....bless them they love doing it, and it's so lovely knowing they've bought the gifts....not their dear father just grabbing something:o
I sat and bagged up all my change in my big pot - the coppers, 5ps and 10ps.....I had £45:beer: So using that as the girls spending money for today....well I gave them £20 each, DD2 wants a cheer hoodie. DD1 not botheres, so she bought some lovely Hollister joggers in town yesterday, reduced from £34 to £13, and is spending the rest at the comp today. My bank's looking a bit sad (£8 til thursday), but the change money of £45 will go in on Monday. There's about £10 left in my grocery account, but we have everything we need til the weekend. might need more milk, but hopefully that should be it! I did treat myself to some wine for tonight;)
Ok, must go and get organised and go to the library.
Have a good day if you're reading:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly :hello:
Good news on the change pot! Cheerleading sounds like an expensive hobby. My little DD has just started ballet, so that's 2 sets of lesson fees, ballet shoes, tap shoes, skirts, socks blah blah blah!!! The spends never ends
Hope you have a productive day at the library0 -
Thank goodness your girls have you to make up for their fathers 'failings'.
Sounds like a fun day for them today.
Hope the library trip has proved productive.0
