    Hi Milly

    How are you today?

I can understand your lack of motivation if you are not feeling well, any news on your operation date?

The snow seems relentless, we have none just rain and slush at the moment.

Hey Deb - nothing on the date. I have appt on Fri at the hospital with the surgeon, hopefully I'll know more then. I just want to get it done now...fed up waiting and thinnking about it:p

We're all wondering if it'll be a snow day tomorrow - been loads of snow so far tonight, not stopped and the forecast is heavy for later:eek:

Just glad I have lots of food in:rolleyes:
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • Just done a P-cone survey....so will probably recieve £3 in Paypal tomorrow:beer:

Pinecone are a survey site - they're a funny one, you can only get invited to join. Think I found them on an online banner last year, was lucky. Surveys aren't that often, but are £3 Paypal each time. But 2 in one month for me....that's good going;)

Very deep snow here, but school's open. DD1's open as normal, didn't think the coaches would make it, but they did - she was NOT happy:D DD2's open at 10, so she's leaving in about an hour....not too bad;)

Paypal money arrived in my account today - £12 added to my £5 a day total. Had my car tax renewal yesterday - grrrrr, had forgotten that was due this month:mad: SO there's £60-odd gone....or maybe I'll pay the year, save a couple of pounds;) Hmmm....

I opened a new current account with my bank the other day - and it's just appeared in my online banking. I think I'm going to use that as a Grocery account, putting £55 a week in there from my TCs. As I've got ex's money in my account right now, I've just transfered £117 of that to the new account - that's how much I have left of my grocery challenge amount. So now my 'spending account' is for buying anything 'not food/cleaning stuff'. Hoping that it'll help me attempt to cut the groceries down as any extra money at the end of the month will then be able to go to savings/paying off stuff:p

DD1's mobile has sold on ebay....so there's £45 for her. Buyer wants it asap he says - well I did say in the listing I post 2nd class and in 2 days of payment, so will send it Friday when I go to the hospital. Might be kind and post 1st class so he should get it on Sat.

I've listed a few more things on ebay - think I'm on 41 now:eek: A book sold on Amazon, but they need the buyer to update payment info so have told me not to post yet....think that should be another £5 winging it's way to me:o

I've dug out my uni box of books/papers....must go back to sorting it;)

    Hi Milly
I'm enjoying your diary! The new account sounds like a great idea. I have an account that covers all my DDs and a second one for all my other spending. A different one for groceries would make the grocery challenge much easier to keep track of!

Hi Jellie....thanks for de-luriking....I often think I'm yabbering away to myslef;)
I have 5 current accounts and 1 savings with my bank now - spending account, bills (for dds and rent), girls clubs money, girls money (pocket money from my mum and their ebay sales!) and now my groceries! I love moving money about.....:rotfl::rotfl:
I just think if I have a certain amount in the grocery account I'm much more likely to be careful...rather than just buying, knowing the money's in the account....if that makes sense. Will maybe think twice with some things I buy:p

The snow's definitely helping with the spending....another NSD here - 10 out of my target 12:beer:

Well done on your & DD's Ebay sales/Amazon, every little helps.

How's the UNI work coming along?

No snow here at all & managed to get to the hospital, 3 hours later and I have no cast :j ankle is still swollen & a little painful.

Hooray:beer: Glad your cast's gone Deb....hope the pain goes down....put your feet up;)

I didn't do any uni work really - just looked through this years assignments and have an idea of some reading and research I could be doing...nothing too taxing, some bits on psychology that I missed before Xmas I should read up on. Will crack on a bit tomorrow - now I've made the first step and looked through it, it feels less daunting and more appealing.....haha:rotfl:
