Milly you poor thing, try and get a doctor's appointment and see if he will sign you off sick.
You probably overdid it yesterday with getting ready for back to school etc.
Well done on your £5 a day challenge.0 -
I've been to the doctor's and saw a really nice lady doc who was very sympathetic (not like my old doc who thankfully has left:o) and she signed me off for 2 weeks - I would have been happy with 1 week:p So at least I can relax a bit and not worry about work - mind you I am worried now, convinced they'll replace me!! Daft.
Going to email my tutors now....see what they say. One of the assignments due is a work based task - so obviously I won't be able to do that yet....arghhhhh.
Then....sleeep:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Excellent news, some doctor's beggar belief as they are not very caring (ex doctor's receptionist).
Hope you soon feel better, relax and catch up on some sleep.0 -
Well done on working hard for your Uni research! Planning is just as important as execution.
I'm glad to hear you have been signed off. Will be good for you in the long run. Have a rest & catch up with the little bits. Have a good sleep! I understand how you feel Milly but you needn't worry unduly. I have some experience in ths area. Your HT could refer you to the Local Authority's Occupational Health Unit for advice as to whether you are likely to be fit to do your job. But as you have a hospital appointment coming up for an operation to sort it out then that's the response your GP/consultant would give.
Hope you feel better soon. Good luck with your course.0 -
Hi Milly
Hope your feeling better and have had some sleep.0 -

Hi Deb,
Yes, slept well last night and have had just over an hour's nap on the sofa:p:p
Am sat with a hot water bottle - trying to kep the heating off until later on, when the girls are back. I'm only on the sofa or by the pc, so a hot water bottle is doing the trick!I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -

Anyway, must get back to bed now....a couple of hours sleep would be nice, but the pain's there all the bl00dy time:mad:
I've had Crohns since I was 19 (now 50:o) And I can honestly say the worst part is the lack of sleep. I used to have horrendous flare ups but the awful pain and the s***'s (and I throw up with mine as well!) were nothing compared to the lack of sleep.. I was sometimes up every 15 mins going to the loo or laying in so much pain I didn't know what to do. So big hugs to you and - I'm sure you know - just cat nap every minute that you can.
Is your op for a re-section? - I've never had one - but I'm sure you will feel like a new person when it's all done.
If you have any questions just pm me and I'll try to help you with my wisdom:rotfl:! I have had the best ever gastroenterologist and I learned loads from him on how to control it and 'work with it' ! ....................
Big hugs - and hope you get some sleep tonight.

Just done a p-cone survery, which should be £3 into Paypal very soon. The SoB!ngo money hit my account today, so took off the original deposit and paid £21 into savings....added it to £5 a day total. Still waiting for Paypal money (£8 for me), Virg!n bingo (£5.25) and tomorrow my L-woods scratchcard will go over £10 so I can withdraw that....coooool:D
The £1000 ISA money arrived in my account too, so must decide what to pay off first - think Next will get paid, then the rest to the Lloyds loan. I did pay off my Amazon cc yesterday (£64) - I only got it as they gave me £15 off an Amazon order when I used it, so it came off DS games for girls Xmas - was impressed with myself paying off a cc in full:rotfl:
Have spent about £14 on groceries today, but sneaked in a mag so can't call it an NSD now....still, I think I deserved a £1 mag to amuse myself. Got enough food to last til Sunday now...I got extra bread in case the heavy snow that's forecast does arrive tonight:rolleyes: We won't starve:p
I managed to keep the heating off today until 1.30 - sat with a hot water bottle on my lap all day, which was lovely. Will def do that again tomorrow! Gas and electric readings are done and submitted online - and saw my account £84 in credit, so that'll probably cover the extra gas used this winter....
Ok, am really tired, yet again, so off to make a quick bolognese for girls then crash on the sofa with Holby, fab:TI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well....snow day for both of the girls today:D We'd had no snow at about 2am, but then I looked at 4 and there it was;) Nice early messages about the schools so can leave them to hve a sleep (and a bit of peace for me).
Just withdrawn £10 from scratchie site and the other money has hit my account - paypal, V!rgin bingo and Quidco...will update my £5 a day today. Not sure how I'm going to get the rest of the money for that challenge - it will have to be ebay I think. I might root around for some bits later if I feel like it:o
Could do with going back to bed myslef, I knew I wouldn't sleep cos of waiting for the snow - I was right, up at 3.45 on here and drinking tea:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0
