Huh....the person that bought my coat for£35 isno longer registered on ebay....feedback of 1...boooo. Se said she'd send a postal order and no sign...not impressed!
Took DD2 for an eye test yesterday....she wasn't due til May but her eyes were aching, couldn't see the board at school, and tSpecsavers had taken her old glasses away. SO she does need them again )which I was pleased about cos they said if she didn't then I'd have to pay £22 for the test!)
SHe's not well now though - temperature of 39 and coughing, sneezing etc....loads of it at school - about 25 out of 60 of her year group off school yesterday:eek: So she's on the sofa, rather pink-cheeked and pathetic;)
No plans for the weekend - got my car windscreen being replaced tomorrow (booo, £75 gone) - it's got a tiny chip in it but it's right at the bottom and near the edge, so the whole lot needs replacing:mad: Going in for MOT on Tues, hope it's ok...
So, must crack on with some Uni work, while we have a quiet weekend - I know what I need to domto get started (which helps I guess:rolleyes:) I need to write next week's meal plan and list too - but we really won't need much at all. I picked up a chicken for half price in Co-Op yesterday, £2.30, £1 for 500g of lean mince, 50p strawberries and 35p bag of parsnips, very pleased!!
Only 2 days left of work.....it can't come quick enough, we need the rest:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Off school today with DD2, her temperaure is down, but she's got a nasty cough and sore throat. She never wants to stay off, so she must be feeling rough;)
The chap came to do my windscreen yesterday and he managed to just repair the chip, not replace the whole screen - so that's great, I'll get £65 back from them:j Car's going in for MOT tomorrow - or if I can drop it in late this afternoon I will....must ring and see.
Not much else to report - 50p twice on scratchcard syesterday....woohoo. Banking ok. Must ring Council tax and see if they've had the confirmation from the Uni that I'm registered...then that'll be £96 a month saved for me. Mind you, it just makes up for the drop in Housing Benefit....but it's all ok!
So, must crack on.....at least a day at home will let me get the ironing and tidying up done:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
I've done most of the ironing;)
Not an NSD as I nipped out for throat sweets for E - almost £4:eek:
Just rang Council Tax and my revised bill (showing £0 due) was done on Friday and a refund of £198 on it's way to me.....wooohoooo:beer:
I must now write a new up to date list of all my outgoings and income - HB down due to student loan, but hopefully if we don't spend too much then I shouldn't need to use too much of the loan for rent.
Ok, feeling organised...off I go:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi Milly,
Just found your diary so am off to subscribe. Haven't had a chance to read through yet but you seem to be doing well.
Boo on the £35 coat buyer, people are just a pain sometimes. Brilliant news on the CT rebate though - yay!

Quick post - off to Uni in an hour, girls are off school, still in bed. So I managed an extra hour in bed....lovely.
Car passed the MOT - reeeeally pleased. So only cost me £53. The refund of £65 for the windscreen has gone back in as well as £198 from Council Tax - fantastic!!!
Must write a meal plan and shopping list tonight, then I'll do that shopping tomorrow. I'm pleased i haven't done a big shop out of this weeks money, just about £20 on bits...and tomorrow I ount as a new week of money as my Tax Credits go in and thats the money I live off.
Ok, must get off here and get reay! still in dressing gown, no make up and wet hair:rotfl:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
The £35 coat has sold again....and has been paid for and posted yesterday. Also sold a box of 'My Little Ponies' for £12. I'll wothdraw the Paypal money when an echeque clears....hopefully tomorrow.
Not felt too well since I last posted - the bug just dragged on and left me completely wiped out. So, I've done NO Uni work and must crack on today.
Took girls shopping on Friday - all kitted out for winter now, courtesy of Primark:rotfl: Yesterday we went ice skating, well they skated and my friend and I drank tea:beer:
Having a day at home today - lots of tidying/cleaning to do and I must, must do some work....I'm just awful at putting it off....later I think:o Tomorrow eldest has dentist appt and I have my hospital appt at long last....I only had the so-called urgent scan at the start of JuneSo tomorrow hopefully the doctor will decide whether I need surgery to remove the sore bit or to try a new medication.....fingers crossed for the latter option:rolleyes:
Paypay tomorrow - which is no big deal for me, wages are all accounted for in my bills account. But, I have seen my wage slip and did get some arrearsSo, got paid about an extra £40....all good though;)
Ok, girls are still asleep, I must get dressed and have a tidy up beofre I get cracking on the work:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
And another £418 has just gone into my account from Student Loans
The figures on my account page of their site have gone up for Jan and May's payments, with an interim payment of £418 for today....Ok, nice:D:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ok....results of scanlast week - doc says I need surgery to remove the manky bit of intestine....boooo, but at least it'll be sorted. Before Xmas too:eek:
Back at work now, had a nice weekend at my mums then sisters.
I must get organised Christmas and Uni - wise if there's a chance I may be in hospital soon. He did say it'll only be a few days in hosp then 2-3 weeks off work, so not too bad. But, want to have all my presents bought, save any panic:p
Earlier I bought 4 pairs of lovely pjs from La Senza online - £40 for all 4....priced at £30 each or 2 for £20 - bargain!! got 2 pairs for myself, one for my sis Xmas present and one pair for DD1, think XS size will fit her now.Lovely looking PJs, nice gift for my sis;)
Must get off here and crack on with my uni work, am seriously panicking about the lack of work on my part:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
