Aaaaah wondered where you'd gone...:rotfl:
Welcome back - keep posting, it keeps me on the straight and narrow;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ooooooh I've been hopeless at updating here lately:o
Ok, college going fine - I'm allregistered and student loan of £1179 hit my bank account today - really happy! HB has gone down of course because of that, but I'm still slightly better off...and will have no council tax too, when the Uni confirm that I'm registered.
I did treat myslef today to some new boots seeing as the loan's gone in - they were £60 in Clarks, which I do feel bad about spending, but in my defense, I haven't had new boots for 3 years.....the ones I wore before really have had it. And Clark's boots will last a while, the last ones did. Just nice brown, chunky-ish ones to wear with jeans. I also need a new coat - again the coat I've had was bought 3 years ago, so might look in Next tomorrow. I also have 2 lovely Next coats to sell - both size 8s that are just a bit small, too tight if I had a jumper on, so ebay for them soon. I have a couple of nice M+S tank top/waistcoat things to list too - hopefully make a few pounds there.
Tomorrow we're off to my sister's for the night - it's my niece's birthday on Sunday. My Mum's birthday is Wednesday so will visit her too and give her the present we have.
Tesco shopping is coming on Monday - using the £10 code and hopefully £5 thro' Quidco...it's validated;) That should last for a couple of weeks - I really am going to keep track of grocery spends again properly, I've let it slip a bit.
Beautiful laptop arrived last week - I love it:D Very shiny, purple and fast.....girls not allowed near it:rotfl:
Ok, off to lie on the sofa with a book - a Uni one, I am good:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning!
Quiet here this weekend - girls with their dad. So I MUST get cracking with the uni work - if I can decide where to start that is:o
Money-wise this week - I've not spent anything much, apart from food shopping on Monday, £68 which will last this week too. I'll just need a few fresh bits for the week coming. Must write a meal plan and list later on...probably nip to Tesco tomorrow.
Going to go to town later and return a couple ofbits for refunds - bought bras from M+S as part of the 3 for 2 deal (£5 off too), but 2 don't fit - usually M+S refund the full prices too, not taking into account the 3 for 2...so that'd be nice!
I'm very pleased at the mo as I've been sticking to WW and have gone from 9st10 in August to 9st2 today (that was a sneaky weigh in today) - so if I'm very good this weekend I might get to 9st1 for my weigh in on Monday:D
No heating on yet - am tempted but it's now a bit of a challenge to see how long I can last! It's really not too bad in the house, just early morn and evening can feel a bit chilly!
2 loads of washing are done so far - one on airer and one on line. Girls bedding is nearly ready so that'll go on the line - lovely sunny, clear day so hopefully get it all dry ready for piles of ironing in the morning.
Right, think I'll nip to town now before it gets too busy.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Was wondering where you'd got to Milly
I'm seeing how long I can hold out with the heating too, am aiming for November at least, but the mornings are noticeably colder already
Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Oh I'm still around - I do read your diary every day (ooooh, mad stalker says BB!), I've just been very lazy in posting anywhere recently....must try harder:o
Yep, my aim is to get to around November too (can't see it happening, I don't fancy a chilly half term;)). Definitely not needing heat today, the sun's coming in the patio doors and warming this room up, lovely:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Morning!
Listed a couple of winter coats on ebay yesterday and one has sold already for £35:beer:
Not up to much today - nipping to Tesco soon, when I've got my face on;) Juts a small list, bought enough last week to keep us going - it's just fresh stuff and will stock up on some bits that the girls like that are on offer.
Managed to make a start on uni work yesterday - but I'm still not clear about the first assignment and how to go about it, just did lots of reading, made a mind map etc...seems a bit vague!!!
I remembered yesterday that I had £26 in an ING savings account - I opened the account with £1 and got £25 for being referred....so have taken that money out to go in my savings account that I use more.
Most of the housework got done - just ironing, bathroom to clean and girls beds to make up today. And back to the books afetr Tesco before girls are home.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Oooooops. £52 in Tesco:eek:
£46 of that was groceries....the other £6 was on Xmas bits for girls, £1 pair of gloves for DD1 and white sticky labels for me. So, we now have a fridge full of grub, lots of stuff that'll keep til the end of the month - yogurts, cheese strings etc that were all on offer.
Ok, I now need to empty the clothes airer, pile up my ironing and get on with tidying. Might save the ironing for X factor time (pinched your idea BB!) and don't need to cook for girls as they're eating at their dad's. Ok, a quick burst of tidying coming up now....:pI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Ex coughed up my last 4 weeks money last night - gave me £180, so not a huge amount when I have 2 kids, but oh well:rolleyes: Used £23 towards the Co-op credit card, kept £7 in my purse and put the remaining £150 in the bank. Will decide what to do with it when it hits my account - probably stick it in the savings until I need to spend it - DD1 really needs winter clothes, so off to Primark next Friday as we're on half term then.
My friend who's just finished the course I'm starting has just been round to sjow me some of her work and give me an idea of what they're expecting. It has helped and I shall crack on soon:D
NSD here, house all tidy, 10p and 25p on scratchcards....nothing else to report - oh actually yes there is - I sold a jacket of DD2's on ebay for £12....very pleased. I only put it on a buy-it-now of £12, hoping for a best offer of £10ish, but this lady just bought it with out making an offer......fab:T Waiting for a postal order for the £35 for the coat to come soon too....a good couple of sales I think;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
3 NSDs this week!! Very pleased to get back on track a little. Today won't be as a few of us at work are meeting a colleague who's on maternity leave, in the pub for lunch. We all used to go out forl unch every Friday and now don't go at all, so I think I'm ok to spend £8 on myslef today:o
Not much else to report. Ex's money went in my savings afetr I'd used £23 to pay to my PO credit card. In half term I'll sort out my money abit more - see what I need to be concentrating on paying off next!
I'm soooo tired, roll on the weekend....a nice quiet one with the girls, at home...lovely!
Sold another item on ebay, £12 but it now - I only put it at £12 as I thought people would make a best offer and I'd be happy with £10....but this lady paid the £12:D Still waiting for the Postal order for the £35 coat...even tho' I say Paypal only to avoid all this waiting....grrrrrrr:rolleyes:I really need to sort out a new signature!0
