I actually have a pair of orange shoes. They're Jeffrey West or something. I don't feel out of place wearing them, but then I do work in Soho.
Anyway, today's creation comprises of..
Abercrombie & Fitch jeans (complete with fashionable and barely decent rips)
Vintage t-shirt with Deborah Harry on it
Leather flip flops
My goodness, I'm a Bruce Weber parody.
Glowgirl, like the 'listening to' addition. I've got Imogen Heap's new one - First Train Home. It's excellent."I'm not a one-trick pony. I'm not a ten-trick pony. I'm a whole field of ponies - and they're all literally running towards this job."
An utter berk, 2010.0 -

I don't quite understand why you're on a money-saving site dissuading people from saving money where they can.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
DH would wear orange shoes I think.
He actually has quit e few pairs of shoes: he tries to wear his work (business casual) shoes only once a week each (though often fails) and similarly has quite few pairs of black shoes for when he wore suits every day, and his dress shoes for his dress suit. Then there are the weekend shoes....
The good thing with men's shoes is they tend not to date so dramatically (even ''high fashion'' ones)and if you rotate your shoes well you get years of use from them. That said DH does go through quite a few smart casuals at what I think of as mid price range (70-120 pounds) Women's ''work'' shoes often get more pressure simply because of the pressure on the structure (i.e. toes sliding forward from high heels) and while there are ''classics'' fashion seems more.....obvious, or maybe thats because I look at them as a woman.
My mother and sister both have tiny fet and are always able to get things in sales that in more average sizes have sold out. I have average sized feetso miss this boon.

I'm sorry, but I'm really not getting this. How is waiting for something to be reduced, rather than pay full price for it a "short sighted sales mentality"?
Things are reduced to make way for next season's stock? It's usually why they're called end of season sales.... Or perhaps you're passing judgment on my taste in shoes? Different strokes and all that. If we all liked the same thing, life would be very boring indeed. Yes, there's often some tat about in the sales, but one woman's tat is another woman's treasure.
I buy what I like, and if that might be classed as slightly out of season by some, doesn't bother me. I wear what I like because I like it. What difference would say, six weeks make if it saved me money?
Anyway, talking of saving money, any input on where to get reasonably priced custom made mens shoes?0 -

Aha....you are all sheep then. So your comments are all baaaaah humbug.absolutebounder wrote: »Women are different and so they get their knickers in a twist if they find someone else with the same pair as them. This is why women buy shoes from cheap and nasty outlets because lets face it if a shoe is in a sale its because no one else wants it so if you buy loads of sale shoes that no one else wants then you have sod all chance of coming across another pair at a function.
And we women are not sheep. Although (before you say it) some of our breed do, on occasion, dress like the more mature sheep in the flock.0 -
absolutebounder wrote: »Now why do you think they get reduced
Usually because we're lucky enough to have feet that are not the most common size0 -

Nonsensense darling, your priceless:D
I remember the fashion dilemma's faced with pregnancy. When i was pregnant with ds3, i had the grand total of 5 items to wear!! 3 Jersey tops, two pairs of maternity jeans. The second i got home i changed into my comfy pajamas. I couldn't wait to get rid of those clothes, but you know what, only having 5 items made it very simple to dress!! I used to use accesories to liven it up. Happy days they were, i loved being pregnant (probably why i did it 4 times lol)
SharronxxSometimes your the dog, and sometimes your the lampost..:p0
