  • Good afternoon girlies!!!

The sun has just come out so quick change of clothes, white vest and a gorgeous new sundress from ralph lauren purchased on saturday, it's pink and white strips and perfect for my hols. White flip flops and off for a sit in the garden whilst kids squabble, i mean play.

Floss, i like your thinking with covering your expenditure:)

Judgjaq, love the sound of your flake dress!!

Bronnie, very chanel sounding, can't wait to go and see her film.

Lostinrates, wow a 'free' handbag, and from italy as well how lucky are you!!

My mse thing today is a manicure, been neglecting my nails since kids have been off!!

    Speak to all later

Dont know exactly but I guess about £300 per year but then with quality I dont need to buy shoes every year. I have 3 pairs of formal shoes and a couple of pairs of trainers and one of those pairs is only used for badminton matches. those I buy direct from spiortsdiscount.com
Its a lot cheaper in the long run keeping ones feet healthy.

Did ya hear that Piratefairy............................3 pairs of formal shoes m'darling...........................not 300!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rotfl:

So, how much per wear...? (i.e. cost of pair of shoes divided by number of wears = cost of wear).....

And I bet your 3 pairs of shoes are black, tan and maybe brown leather? It must be nice to only have a limited range of shoes to choose from when planning your outfits, although I guess suits are mainly black, grey, brown & navy arnen't they?

But what about casual wear? Do you wear your tan shoes with your jeans? And what about a formal dinner? Would you wear the same pair of black shoes that you'd worn for work for the previous 6+ months?

Can I ask how much roughly you pay for a pair of custom shoes? £300 a year doesn't seem a lot to my mind for three pairs, even if you take that over three or four years. I'm just curious as my husband was toying with the idea of get a pair made, but at on average £1000-£1500 a pair (and that was the cheapest he found for bespoke) he knocked that on the head. I'd certainly find it really helpful if you could post any info on a better deal than that, and I'm sure other might as well.

Not sure how you can buy trainers without trying them on first, especially if you want healthy feet. Badly fitting trainers will not do you any good at all. Incidentally, how do you know the ones you've ordered haven't been on someone's feet and then sent back? ;)

I think this is where we are going wrong......when streamlining our wardrobes to capsules, we need to remember to streamline our footwear collections too...:p:D:rolleyes:

And you will have to go back to paying the milkman in cash:D

Ooh yes, OH wears Loakes, but he spent over £200 on 2 pairs that were reduced in Debenhams last year.....
