I chuckled when I read your reply.I`m sorry(or am I?)but thats total bilge,no one is interested in the slightest about your opinion,i`m wondering if you have the right to comment on my(or anyones)benefits, after all it appears to be a subject that doesnt affect you(yet).
If you are not interested in the slightest in my opinion then why did you take the time to reply? Seems you are at least a little bit interested.
You are entitled to an opinion, even if yours is wrong, and I thank you for taking the time to express it. Sleep easy, my opinion is just that, an opinion. The people of 'great' Britain are about to elect the conservative party who are going to try and abolish the welfare state. If and when they are elected then it is clear that people are content to go along with harsh benefit reform.

Well i used my sons HRC payment to buy him a PS!! Flame me, he doesnt sleep and his usual time for sleep is 2- 3 am!!
He needs things that reduce his stress levels - on and BTW we removed all electrical items from his room as prescribed by pead, and put them back after he ended up self abusing due to stress - Poor kid is only 5 (autistic)
Does this mean that if DLA is stopped I would be able to claim for someone to come into the house and look after him from say midnight till he is asleep  He still needs help with feeding, are they going to pop in and help with that and all the other things he rightly recieves his money for, he needs constant supervision way beyond that of a normal 5 year old. The money HE receives is to make his life enjoyable and safe, and I would like to see SS give him the care he needs only using HRC!!! Still waiting for his wheelchair assessment - only been waiting 2 years - ended up buying it out of his money.BR date 18/11/090 -

You allow a 5 year old to play his PS until 2-3am?
I can't imagine that does anything to help him sleep...0 -
And what is your point? Or was that just a rant?EXCUSE ME "those who dont pay taxes have less right to an opinion"??
ARE YOU FOR REAL?????
I havent paid taxes for 11 years since i was forced to stop working due to disability, but like many many people in the same situation I paid taxes for year and years before that,in fact as a former top rate tax payer I probably paid more tax and n.i. than judgemental fools like you ever will.
I make no appology for what I say,the likes of you make my blood boil:mad::mad:0 -

Your helpful point was???
No he not allowed to play it that late  He needs something to stop his mind going into over drive.
He stops playing it a 7 when it is bedtime. There are times when he is on a mental stim that he uses it to relax
Yes it does help him relaxBR date 18/11/090 -

It is limited to 1 hr after school to unwind...My son stresses about everything, he has count down clocks for how many days till schools back, how many days till no school, how many days till......... out shoppinghow many more shops, how many more things do you have to do/get etc God forbid 1 extra thing is placed in the basket!!or one extra shop is visited
No DR has yet given us a way of de stressing him. We have calenders, visual timetables you name it....when he is on his PS is the only time he is calm
I only brought up the point about the PS because I used his money to buy him one!BR date 18/11/090 -
Has anyone mentioned the benefits of Melatonin?, which often is extremely useful in autistic children.asbestos2008 wrote: »It is limited to 1 hr after school to unwind...My son stresses about everything, he has count down clocks for how many days till schools back, how many days till no school, how many days till......... out shoppinghow many more shops, how many more things do you have to do/get etc God forbid 1 extra thing is placed in the basket!!or one extra shop is visited

Yes we did try it, he wont take any meds even calpol, the last lot of antibiotics he took was an injection given after they sedated him. That was a last resort after trying every known way to give it him. Even if it is syringed into his mouth it comes back out. The Dr didnt believe us until he tried to give him a dose!!I tried hiding the tablet form in his food and he knows its there, dont ask me how.
We begged his pead to help. His response was some kids dont need much sleep!!BR date 18/11/090 -
