Thanks Keefington, it's such a good feeling when you get the email to say that a book has sold - with textbooks, you'll probably be surprised at how much other people are asking for them. I've got a dull business book on there for about £30 which I'll NEVER read as just look at the title makes me want to sleep, but someone will hopefully need it to complete their library of textbooks
I'm feeling really good tonight, as I realise that I've already paid £178 off my mortgage, okay, only a drop in the ocean, but over 20 or 21 years (can't remember how long my mortgage has left to run), that's a lot of interest I've saved!0 -
Oops, been a tad naughty today....have booked DD and I a lovely holiday in early September!! In my defence, we've not been away this year and I did get a staff discount and it's the last time that we'll be able to go away out of school holidays and, and, and.....
Can't wait! It's half board so we'll be able to eat big breakfasts then starve til tea if we need to...but at the moment I don't care, DD and my first holiday on our own, sunshine, kids club, beach etc etc etc!
When I get home later, I'll be scouring the bookshelves for more things to sell so as to offset the cost of it...0 -
Morning all
Have sold another CD for a couple of quid and an Amaz*n payment came into the bank this morning, only £1.16 but it's all piling up...or something like that
Realised a few of my CDs aren't going to make me a profit on A so am going to get shot of them on MM instead, only another £1 or so, but better than nothing, and they really are ones I'll never miss...shocking how much money I've wasted over the years0 -
Hi Kittikins,
Well done Kittikins! Wish my selling was going as well asyours! I have sold a book, but after postage made a loss of 4p lol!!!
Have put alll my prices up on amazon to cover the obvious rise in postage since I last posted anything!!!
Holiday sounds lovelysomething to really look forward to and motivate you!

Progress not Perfection0 -
Hi Kittikins, I just wanted to pop in to say well done on your progress! I have pile of stuff queuing up to go on ebay so really admire your motivation. My circumstances are smilar. Recently divorced with a whopping great mortgage of £160k which I'm overpaying to my maximum allowance. I recently changed jobs as I was facing a potential redundancy and the prospect of being unemployed which such a huge mortgage scared my into action!
Good luck with the rest of your challenge!
LMortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j0 -
Thanks Louba, I'm just tidying up the overstairs cupboard (slightly less junk than the dreaded understairs one....) and have found a cheque for the grand sum of 1p, whaddya' reckon, should I put it in the bank?
Louba - I like your target for April 2010, go for it!! My target is to get to the round '000 figure by the end of the year, but with a holiday, just spending £71 on shoes for DD and other stuff, I wonder how it'll go!0 -
Woohoo! Another CD bites the dust - bit sad about this one, it's one of my favourites, but saying that, I don't listen to it that often and Y0utube has all the music anyway....Most moolah coming my way soon (a whole £3 something!)0

bank it! Better you get it than someone else, all the pennies in unclaimed assets make for nice sums of interest for big companies!
Think I'll try and get some photos taken tonight for all the stuff thats in a cupboard waiting to go on ebayMortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j0 -
Let's make a deal Louba - you list some stuff and I'll get some more on too, realised I still have a gazillion things, some of which I took photos of, that I've not yet been bothered to put on eb*y.
Have finally got some bids on a few of my E items, but it's so annoying, so many s*dding questions, how long is it, how big is the waist, hips, belly?!? (What the heck is a belly measurement in a skirt? Jeez.....)0
