Do you trust your mechanic? £266 sounds expensive, but I really don't have a clue, and hate going to the garage as I think they see me coming!
Anyway, have a great night out Kittikins, you deserve it!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

Thanks Earthy, it was really good fun
The others will be out until the early hours but I wasn't drinking and whilst I had a great time, and didn't miss drinking, all of a sudden my body just told me I was cream crackered, so was really pleased to have the car just outside the bar

Woohoo! Just paid £3.68 into the mortgage, payment from an Amaz0n sale came through. Got a cheque for £8.08 from MMagp!e to pay in over the counter tomorrow if I have time at lunchtime and some Qu!dco money to go as well, just waiting for it to hit the account.0

Yay, just checked my bank account and have £18.91 I've just moved across from Amaz*n, Qu!dco and interest earned on my current account last month
I'm also totally gobsmacked, have sold a book on Gre*n Metr0polis! I really thought it would be a waste of time, but hoorah for me(reminds me: I must put my other books on hold like I've done for Amaz*n...)
Didn't pay in my cheque yesterday but really should...I've got a few bits to do in town at lunchtime, so no excuse really....
Getting very excited about our holiday now, I'm nearly all packed (DD's back tomorrow and we've got a full day planned - I don't want to be finishing off at midnight like I usually do)

Well done on the sales! One of my items sold for more than I thought - nothing on the other
Oh well, I've more than covered my costs. Just need to stick the money in the mortgage fund now! Happy packing, that's my task for the weekend too.
Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j0 -
Oooh, where are you off to Louba? We're going to be basking in the Algarve sunshine (fingers crossed it doesn't rain all week, lol). A kind person has just given me a little L!on King suitcase for DD to put her toys and books in and I'm bored at work wanting to be outtahere.....only another 4 hours to go *sigh*
Just confirmed with 8T that my phone bill will be credited £40 this month as a thank you for having taken out their credit card......on which I have spent the princely sum of £1 (and plan to close the account once I've had my freebie, lol).
Also have £37 in p*ypal but I can't take it out yet until my bank account has been verified, but it's good to know it's waiting for me
This month I should also get £138.75 back from DD's nursery, so it's all mounting up.
The Halif*x is showing my balance to be less than I think it is but a goodly few hundred pounds....really confused as to why, but will leave it until I get my annual statement whenever that may be, not sure if it'll be at the end of the calendar year, tax year or anniversary of when I took out the new deal (whenever that was!).
I know that I've paid £248.08 since 4 August which is good enough for me0 -
I'm feeling v-e-r-y smug as the holiday to France I booked on s*blu for £140 (2 weeks at the end of August in southern Brittany) has now gone up to a stonking £1,143 . When I booked it (over a year before we plan on going, I thought I was a sad sap, but now I'm laughing as I've saved over £1k by doing it so far in advance, yippee!! Actually I wouldn't be able to afford it if I had to book it now, so double yippee!!). Just need the ferry company to release the fares early now as I can be first on the ship0

I'm toying with moving my £50 welcome to the new bank account bonus from Halif*x into the mortgage, but also wonder if I shouldn't hold on to it for a while as I do have the rest of our Cornwall trip AND the ferry to France to pay for soon....and I'm tempted by Ryana*r's cheap flights for a weekend away AND the Trave!odge cheap rooms.......
I have major wanderlust at the moment!!0
