Wow - what a great saving on your holdiday! I love the Algarve, hope you have a great time
Sure your DD will love it too. We're going to Cape Town, I had masses of Airlilne miles from travelling for work so we got a great deal on flights. Don't think it's very warm there though..........oh well can't have it all it will still be brilliant to be off work.
Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j0 -
hi louba, hope you get to go to Hermanus and see the whales, I think they're all around in September
Feeling soooo tired but at least we're all packed and hopefully getting DD off to bed in a tic before our 4am wakeup call.0 -
Well, back from holiday, bit brown, relaxed, happy and raring to get some more money back in the coffers!
Put my books back on Amaz*n yesterday evening and yay, have just sold oneI might need to go back through the books and see if prices have gone up for any of the ones I originally decided not to sell (i.e. if 1p has gone up to £100 (I wish!))

Woohoo! Another book has gone on Amaz*n, this time a teach yourself shorthand book that I can't remember where I got it from - £13.XX
Just watching Economy Ga$tronomy and feeling hungry...but I'm back on the diet track, put quite a few pounds on whilst on holiday, but 2 days of dieting and I've lost half of them alreadyAm also going to be 'saving' money this week as I can't buy my diet foodpacks as I've not been able to get to see the nurse for my 4-weekly medical checkup, so will go along for a chat - luckily I have enough spares to keep me going for the week. I will put the money saved into the mortgage
Every little helps!0 -
£3 to go in today from my GM sale
£16.?? on its way from Amaz*n soon too. Yay!0 -
Just paid £16.68 in from Amaz&n, that seemed to have taken a l-o-n-g time. No other news *sigh*, it's all too quiet in money-making world.0

£34.95 from my eb&y sales just came in from Payp*l and I AM going to put my £50 welcome money from the new bank account in, so feeling it's going much more healthily today
Hooray, it's Friday, my first week back at work after 2 weeks off has been fun, worked in a different office for 2 days of the week (gathering major compliments on my slim new look), and am really enjoying a new work pattern - 3 long days followed by 2 short days, although I've not worked on a Friday for over 2 years, so I wonder how I'll feel by lunchtime today!
But, by doing this it means I get to take DD to school most days and can pick her up every Thursday/Friday which is wonderful for both of us0 -
Feeling really flat and miserable and angry today *sigh* Have fallen off the diet waggon again but I just couldn't cope with life today
My mum's health is worsening, DD was overtired and a complete pain most of the day, ex is obviously still alive as maintenance has turned up in bank account but he's not remotely interested in DD starting school etc etc, and I just felt rubbish and couldn't cope with it all so turned to food *sigh*
The book sales seem to have dried up, I'm waiting for £138 to come back from DD's nursery, refund of deposit and a day's fees - but it turns out the nursery has been rubbish and noone's had their deposit back yet, grrr. I'm counting on that money to put into the mortgage OR towards next year's holiday.
Also waiting for just over £50 from Qu*dco that seems to be taking an age to be received.
I should change the title of the diary to pay the mortgage by the time I'm 500, not 500 -
Hi Kittikins - I was just doing my Sunday evening catch up with the various diaries. We all have days like this (I can particularly relate to the diet issue having stress-stuffed a whole packet of chocolate brazils this morning!), believe me. Resolve to put today in the laundry basket and start again tomorrow - your ex has at least paid up and it's a new week...
QB
I know what you mean about Quidco too - the site tells me I have over £100 in there, but it seems to take forever!0 -
Hey QB I did the same thing with a packet of chocolate brazils last night.0
