I know, maybe I should make each box signify £100 rather than £50....might be a bit less scary that way....0

I did mine in boxes of £500, as that was my target op, but then I payed in an od amount and it went a bit haywire!
Thanks for the encouragement with selling books,I've listed all my uni text books as a start!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

I've sent off my CDs and stuff to Mu$ic Magpie today and on advice from another person on MSE, have upped the price of my gift vouchers on Eb*y.
Think though, that I've replaced one 'addiction' (food) with another (general household stuff). Tomorrow I will leave the house with nothing bar my diet group money. I went out at lunchtime and spent money on stuff I don't really need but it was either a "bargain" or handy....hmm...my cupboards are groaning with tinned foods and pasta etc, I now have lots of bottles of sparkly water (I get through about 4l a day) and I really didn't need to buy 3 more tubes of, albeit lovely natural, healthy and reduced, toothpaste...I now have 4 in the bathroom cupboard!!!!!!!!!
Think I need a man or some other distraction in my life, lol.0 -
I got a cehque from music magpie today £4.18, but at least I have a bit of space on my rack now. I used to be the same with stockpiling when things were cheap, but never actually had a cheap month where I didn't need to buy stuff!
I guess its a good idea to just take out the money you need - very brave!15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

A few months ago, I had a week where I only took a £2 coin in my purse to work and left my cards at home and brought in lunch. The choccy/drinks machine at work doesn't take £2'ers, and the canteen charges more for the same products, so being lil miss tight, I managed to lose a pound without spending any! I had a bit of a K*tkat and a Diet C*ke fetish in those days.....:o
...hence why I'm now on LL diet and looking like a new woman, albeit one dressed in baggy clothes :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Don't fret earthy, sure the books will soon start flying off your shelves. I try to price myself at 1 or 2p below the others, unless the books are really expensive, in which case I undercut by quite a bit.......so long as I make a bit of profit after postage, I'm not too fussed.
Thanks Chirpy, I hadn't realised I'd had so many thank yous, I must just only go on friendly threads I thinkI saw thanks a lot to people as it's lovely to read 99.99% of the posts on here.
Got a busy and possibly expensive weekend planned, starting tomorrow morning, still not sure about whether to go to Che$$ington on Saturday, I think it'll be too noisy and busy for DD but on the other hand, it would be somewhere completely different to the norm for us. One of our alternative plans is to go to a local cat sanctuary open day/fete and try to come home without stuffing our pockets full of kitties....DD is desperate for a cat but I can't afford food/vet bills, and also my parents have a big dog that they bring down when they come to stay that would probably enjoy a feline canape!!!0 -
I know I would come home with cats, not cute kittens, but the ones no one wants!!
Hope you have a lovely day15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j
