Well done chirpy - I'm not holding out much hope for GM either, but one of my friends at work has been vaguely talking of doing a car boot sale, so if they don't shift before we get our jacksies in gear, then I'll try and get rid that way.
Must get round to taking pictures of the clothes for Eb*y today, the bag is sitting beside me making me feel guilty....managed to put 15p in the sealed pot this morning. Woo hoo!!
Another way of making cash is to write reviews on DooY00, I know Hypno makes quite a bit of cash doing that, I signed up and so far have written the grand total of.....1....will aim to write more, maybe in a word document when procrastinating at work next week0 -
I wonder how many people actually use greenmetropolis? I'd hold out a lot more hope if I felt more people knew about the site. Perhaps we just have to spread the word ;-)0

Sounds good to me
However, I don't think the books will go, as the ones I've put on there were only selling for 1p+postage on Eb*y so unless people who use GM don't have any money sense and think it's a good deal, they'll head elsewhere.
But, here's hoping I'm wrong!
Just found an old mobile in a drawer, wonder if it's worth anything.....yay, £11.60 from website and eventually £3 from Qu*dco. Very chuffed with that, as I didn't think it would be worth a bean, it's ancient!0 -
Found you
With the vouchers you could list them as a buy it now instead of an auction? Good luck with this diary, I hope you enjoy the journeyMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
Mortgage Overpayments Pot £15870 -
Aaah, that's a good idea, thanks BB
Popped out while ex was with DD at my house, can't hack the atmosphere...anyway,
paid some money into DD's savings account,
took back a book I didn't need, was unwanted present for someone (£3.99 which may or may not make it into the pot, lol)
had free parking (saving 30p)
bought some half price hanging baskets in W*lko's, in readiness for next year's tomato/strawberry growing (saving about £3, but I'm not going to save it up as I wouldn't have paid full price for them anyway)
Have also taken photos of all the clothes, remembering that DD has some Di$ney costumes that are too small in perfect condition, will list them on Sunday night when we're back.0 -
Well, back from the weekend away - seem to have spent a lot of money on not much this weekend, some was naughty food, some useful toiletries for DD, and I don't know what else!
Luckily, my purse is now completely empty, even the moths have flown, so I will aim to keep the purse empty for as long as possible. DD has milk in the fridge, she has plenty of food so we won't need to go shopping for a while. Phew!
Have now hit sell on the Mu$ic Magpie CD and DVD list, and so will eventually have the grand sum....of £8.08 coming, woohoo! Nothing has shifted yet on Amaz*n though...*sigh*0 -
Any look with the books yet? How many have you listed? I've listed 17 - I wonder which of us will sell a book first, seeing as we listed at all most the same time?0
-
Holy moly! I've just sold a book, how spooky is that?!?! £3.20 will eventually wing its way to me, yippee
I have 24 things left on Amaz*n, a mixture of books, CDs and DVDs....hurry up 24, the one I most want to sell is the biography of Oliver Postgate (Clangers & Bagpuss man) as it's up for £40! (Book + CD and it's not in print any more, other people selling around that price don't have the CD).
Just found another book I can put on there, a SW recipe book, I would be on a roll if it weren't 11pm and I'm tired, lol.
Good luck chirpy, keeping my fingers crossed you get at least one sold today too0 -
Well done, Congratulations!0

Bleugh, Monday morning.....feeling fat, frumpy, skint but am determined to keep a lid on spending today and to find money-spinning ideas. I know a lot of people do matched betting but I really don't understand it and can't be bothered to read, re-read, read again and then possibly lose, I'm far too tight for that
So I think I need to sign up for scratchcards and do some D**yoo reviews, hope work will be quiet today so I can write some stuff in word documents0
