I was wondering about the book you sold was that through Amazon or Greenmetropolis? I've just added some more books to GM, but it doesn't look like it gets that busy on there :-( I decided today that it would probably make more sense if I listed extra books as there might be more chance of someone clicking on one of them then and who knows they may then find something else they want from me.

The book I've sold was on Amaz*n, I think GM is going to be a non-starter...it's just that the books I've listed on GM will only sell for 1p on Amaz*n, so once you've paid their fees if the book sells, you end up out of pocket.

If they don't sell within a month on GM, I'll check if the prices have gone up on A and move as appropriate, or put on Freecycle for someone else to enjoy :)

I've been a bit naughty this morning....have booked me and DD on a 5-night holiday to Cornwall with a single parents website for half term. It looks like a really nice place and I'm fed up of looking on holiday websites for a cheap break just before DD starts school in September, as the holidays I find are far more expensive than this trip. This trip will cost me £200 which I thought was a real Brucey bargain. Think the terramundi will be broken into sooner rather than later, lol.

DD and I have a week and a half off together before she goes to big girl school and I wanted to get away, but am now thinking that day trips to places will be just as much fun for her, even though she mentioned s*dding Euro Di$ney again last night!!

Yippee! Another book has sold on Amaz*n, this one is a biggie - £6.28 minus postage... :)

Found a book in my desk at work that is a very boring textbook I'd forgotten about, so that's gone on Amaz*n too - for about £30!

Still haven't got round to putting the clothes on eb*y, I'm telling myself that I've read it's best to put them on on a Thursday for 10 days to end on a Sunday as that's the most popular time....either that, or I'm just too darned lazy ;)

Thanks SMF2 - I reckon this diary will be as dull as dishwater as I have so much to pay and generally so little energy to get into money-making schemes....but thank you so much for reading my waffles :):)

My mobile and home phone bills are slightly less than I'd accounted for, so am going to add those pennies to the pot for the next overpayment.

It's a long journey isn't it? We've been on the the MF road for 6 years already. It's been much easier since I found this board as in my "real life" I have never found anyone who shares our MF aspirations....though my Dad is quite interested....

Hi earthgirl - do it! Amaz*n is great, as you see straight away how much things will go for. Whilst DD was watching CBeebie$ the other day, I took down piles of books and sat on the other sofa inputting ISBN numbers and working out which would be worthwhile and which weren't.

As I get older, I'm becoming far less precious about my belongings - and want to make loads of lolly :)

Have now re-listed my vouchers on eb*y with a buy it now price of £30 (for £40 worth) and already have 2 watchers :) Fingers crossed!

I've done a Hypno-style sheet with boxes to represent each £50 I pay off the mortgage, 3 coloured in so far, only 2972 to go :rotfl:

Managed to post my eb*y books off and hopefully will have the mu$ic magpie label through today to get them out of the house and earning me some cold, hard cash :T

Must leave my purse at home in future though...bought a couple more dented tins in Mr T's this morning whilst popping in to get milk, and a t-shirt (needed as 99% of my current tops are too big) and a birthday present for a friend's daughter at lunchtime....have 73p left of £10 I took out this morning :eek:

Agreed, you won't make a fortune with GM but the good thing is the listings don't expire so if you have a few boxes you can tuck away out of sight they are worth bunging on & forgetting about. Tip: once listed print off a list then make a mark what box they are in, says she who learnt the hard way, three boxes later :o

Yikes kk, that's a lot of boxes
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
