I forgot to put in my other post and idea for your holidays/bdays/mfw plans. When we were DFW we were working so hard making extra money but then felt no benfit for feeling tired and worn out working overtime etc etc as every last penny went on our debt. So we decided a 50/50 plan, every extra penny we made 50% on debt 50% on house or very small treats, so whilst paying off out debts we bought a dishwasher, lanwmower and other practical things that left us feeling spoitl ( sad I know) and we had spent our money on practical things but had something to show for our extra work. I though maybe you could save have your money for your hols half for your mortage or even 75/25 until hols and bday party is paid for? Just an idea that worked for us.

Yay, welcome Batgirl
Thanks for the ideas, I think I need to do more online stuff, I'm not sure if mystery shopping is the thing for me, the logistics of getting to places, working, looking after a tired and grumpy DD (or was that just this weekend, lol) are just too tiring for me to think of.
I'm liking the 50/50 idea, I think I'll adopt it once I've got to 50% of the holiday funds so that I feel like every bit is benefitting.
Money needed: Max £800 + spending money

Thanks Taka, my osteopath thinks its a slipped disk, but can't be sure without an MRI which the doctor won't refer me for. So....thank heavens for strong drugs
According to t'internet, rest, activity and time will make it better....oh so easy when you're a working single parent! We're at my lovely parents now for half term, no Cornwall holiday as I can't drive *sigh*

Thanks Taka, my back is feeling much better today (or it that I've just got up....hmm...) but I'm glad I haven't got the long drive to Cornwall to face
Anyway, I'm hopeful that the holiday/house fund will be boosted on payday, as I have a good amount left in my current account, I'm just not sure how much I need to pay the childminder, so I'm kind of eager for Monday when I get her invoice, as all my monthly bills have now come out
DD needs new slippers and shoes and I owe my dad about £40 but I'm in good shape this month, woo hoo!!0 -
Managed to get lovely slippers, shoes can wait for 2-4 weeks (phew!), and a few bits for DD so she's all smart and gorgeous
I've moved £132 over to the pot, so am at £282.XX, hoorah! £132 is 2 weeks of diet group packs, so being away with my parents and not dieting whilst bad for the waistline is good for the finances....just need to rein myself in on the chow, lol as I'm feeling a bit tubby....0
