  • I found you a link, I did have a read and it seems simple, but I understand is can be baffling to people who havent done much statistics.

    Er I'd have a look if you want, but I did this a few years ago.

    Main point is that you enter the data in correctly.

    I recommend a book called Discovering Statistics Using SPSS written by Andy Field. I think it would be worth your while working through his examples, then hopefully that will make what's going on a whole lot clearer. It's a rather expensive book, but is big and very good. While it may be in your library I recommend buying it as it will be a good reference, especially if you move onto the more advanced inferential tests later.

    One thing to be careful of is not to use the word "insignificant" as Psychologists hate it. The results either are statistically significant, or they are not statistically significant. The word insignificant means something different.

    Another thing to be careful of is reporting of the number of decimal places. Can't remember what the conventions are. I would probably use 1 unless I felt 2 decimal places was justified. For example p < .001 requires 3 dp to make any sense, whereas mean = 387.39379....etc would still be quite meaningful expressed as 387.4.

    REALLY stuck on q9 interpratating the box plots , still completely clueless to all of b. Dont want it done fr mr really really been trying all day today so if anyone can give me even a hint ..........

    i'm not going to give you a full answer,, just a general idea to help you.

    did you geet the other questions correct i.e. onetailed/two tailed, mean, medians etc? You should be getting those ones
