Just a quick reply to DS...

    Sorry! redface.gif

I think I have mis-interpreted your posts and taken your sense of humour a bit too seriously, and I am sorry. I was under the impression with a few posts a while ago that you came across a bit harsh to some of the newbies, but I guess I did over-react a bit and I blame it all on the stress of moving house!! redface.gif

I'd offer you the beer icon but I haven't got a clue how to do smilies properly on here! lol!
    Dave,

I appreciate very much what you have said. I also know that it is not easy to make a public apology. So thank you, and well done.

    Respec', man!

Oh, to get a "beer", type your reply using the "Post Reply" button (rather than "Post Quick Reply") and then just click on the picture of the smiley which appears with others on the right-hand side of your screen. OR, reply using the "Quick Reply" window at the bottom of each page and type  (i.e. colon-b-e-e-r-colon)where you want the beer smiley to appear. HTH.

    Hello

    Quick straw poll...

Do you buy from CD WOW!

If you do, what would make it better for you?

If not, why not and what would make you start?

We're just having a conversation about it in the office and I think your reactions will be different to our assumptions...

    Thanks

    Darragh

    Hi Darragh
I only use CD-WOW now, because of the vouchers we get on Pigsback.

But the few problems I have had are that, as other people are saying, the choices are limited. The new releases are fine, but try looking for an oldie and you've no chance :(
The service is usually quick, but I recently bought a pre-release and I got it 2 weeks after it was released

    Yes

If you do, what would make it better for you?
Books! also, if it was easier to search for bargains

If not, why not and what would make you start?
Sometimes they don't have new items in stock (I had trouble with new Bill Bailey and Mighty Boosh DVDs, which they only started listing weeks after other shops had them)

    Yes

A better range; they don't sell most of the items I've been looking for.

If it wasn't for the CD-WOW vouchers, I would probably never use them since PLay.com is usually cheaper and quicker. Also, quite a few of the region 2 DVDs I've had from CD-WOW have been Russian/Ukrainian and have had to change the language to English when playing. (Also very odd translations on the back of the DVD cases). This makes it difficult to resell the DVDs because people think they are copies.

Do I buy from CD-wow. The answer is yes, whenever the product works out the cheapest.
I do not just buy from them, I consider many different sites, plus offers, vouchers, loyalty points etc.
CD-wow is often not the cheapest for chart CDs so I buy those elsewhere.

If you do, what would make it better for you?
I'm not sure really. When it started out it was the cheapest, but now it's not. Places like Bangcd offer the same level of service and free postage for usually £6.99, whereas CD-wow is now about £8.75. Maybe that's tax, or economics, but I buy the cheaper one.

If you do, what would make it better for you?
More choice I think. The range is limited and whilst I appreciate this site operates from foreign climates for the UK market, does it actually know what the UK market requires?
Also, if there are to be any discrepancies on the boxes this should be advised (And by this I mean foreign lettering etc)

BTW I am still waiting on my 1000 MORE THAN points for getting home insurance with them.
