  • Evening everyone.

Finally got around to making my first card this afternoon. It's not great, but I have learnt a fair bit from doing it! I've posted a picture on my blog for anyone that fancies having a look. Would be grateful for any comments or guidance on what I have done wrong or how I can improve things. Thanks.

 thank you all for for your get well wishes. I actually made some cards for Red Hat friends in the US. I'll pop on the blog later.

Just so tired at the moment, everything seems to be a real effort. :(

Where do you get your buttons from?

I looked in the scrapbook shop last week when I went to bunbuns they had bags of woodware buttons for £1.99 but ideally I would like a bag of mixed colours? or is it best to buy bags like the woodware ones incase I want more than one of each button?

Anyone point me in the direction of cheapy buttons? Not too bothered about masses of them as I have never used them on cards

I would love to know this as well , we've started to use buttons on our cards more and more and need a good selection of colours at cheap prices
  • I cant remember where i bought my buttons from ... I dont often use them either.. The ones i have bought have been from sale sections.
I think charity shops would be a good place to try or market stall ?
Any particular colours you need/want ? If i have them i can pop you some in post x Ooh talking of post has your postie come yet ?

Thanks hun, but I will keep looking then I don't need to take yours away from you!! Was just in general, not sure what colours I want/need etc.

There is a button shop in town so will have a wander down and see how cheap I can get them from her instead maybe?

Postie not come yet :( Has yours?? :j

Flourgirl - gorgeous card - I am really tempted to buy the magazine now - those papers are beautiful.

Thriftyscotslass - good luck at the gym - I'm thinking of joining an aerobics class - I'll have to buy some sportswear first - I need to lose weight but I'm not a gym person.

Rusty - I went button mad a while ago and ended up buying a load from ebay. The basic grey packs are nice but a little expensive. I couldn't believe how dear buttons were though - a lot of shops that I found were selling them for at least 20p each!!!

Well I was really excited this morning hoping that my blog candy was going to turn up - but it didn't - it feels like I haven't ordered anything in ages - so this will cure my craft fix.
