Nice to see you again, saveapenny, and thank you all again for the get well wishes. Feeling a bit better today!

Just popped over to ikki's blog and found out how to cut an aperture card. Huh! Doh! had nesties since I don't know when and I've just found out. I've got some 'thank you' cards to do for some Canadian Red Hatters that took my DIL and me out for the most fabulous 'tea'. The lady that owned the tea shop came over from Devon 10 years ago and the tea shop was full all the time. Real Devon cream too. I checked the label!!!!

Wanna-b - how are you finding the big shot - I'll be getting one myself in the next couple of days?

I have to say that so far I'm loving it, but then I don't have anything to compare it with. The only thing I am little disappointed with is that the Sizzix site doesn't make it overly clear when you need extra things to use the dies with (or perhaps it's just me being a little dense:D). Hence me having to order a few extra bits at the weekend. Still I have them now and so hopefully won't encounter this problem again.

I didn't get a chance to play this afternoon as I had unexpected visitors. I'm going to play in a little while and will see how I get on with my planned embossing project. I'm hoping to make somethings out of fabric at the weekend, but time seems to be in short supply lately. So I'll have to see how things go.

Dtb, I've posted a link on your bloggie to a video on you tube which will help you cast on. I taught myself many years ago.

wanna-b try ikki's blog ( see above) I'm sure she's posted about the Big-shot. I had one before I got the Wizard.

Thanks I'll have a look when the shoulder is a bit better. I think I've got the concept now it's just practicing so the stitches are neat enough to use for the next row. My Mum has tried to teach me but she doesn't do it properly herself so it kind of blew my mind!

Thanks I'm trying to figure out the modifying pad as I have a fab thank you embossing folder, only want to use one of the motifs. I think I've worked out the layers, but need to have a play to see if I've got it. If I haven't I will be back to seek help and advice!!

    Hi all

Great cards everyone, I have uploaded some more photos on my blog

Other half is playing on his PS3 tonight so I can try and make some more cards ;)
  • DTB - please be careful with your shoulder - that's how mine started - my shoulder blade wasn't working properly and sticking out - it's loads better now but stills gives me jip try sitting up straight and rotating your shoulder down and back and holding it there.

Our visas have finally arrived so we can deffo go on holiday now and I can officially get excited and not wake up in the night in a panic any more.
    :j:j Only 11 days to go :j:j

On that note I won't be able to set an ATC challenge on Crafty Place for Feb unless you can wait for me to draw the swaps until I get back or some kind soul offers to do the draw for me. ;).

Still haven't made OH a birthday card or bought him a pressie he'll be 40 on the day we go - Oops plus I have to go in to work for the next week and a half so will lose 2 hours of my life a day and I'm already struggling to squash everything in :(.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
