Flourgirl - I am quite frustrated when companies take the money then send emails saying it is out of stock!! They shouldn't be allowed to do that! I am quite stocked up with cards and envelopes unless I find something which really stands out. I was thinking some of their sentiments but need to look through them all.
I like cleaning, but hate ironing, I shamelessly have to say that I pay someone to do mine now, I had no choice before I went into hospital as I couldn't sit or stand for long enough without being in agony so found a lovely lady to do it for me, now I call her every week and she picks it up and drops it off in 24 hours!! oh and she does such a good job that OH agrees we should keep giving it to her :rotfl:

Ali - I am stocked up on cardstock aswell, I have 2 boxes of coloured one from papermill and the other is 4 times the size from the paperterie in Aberdeen, then I have another big one of just white! I would cut the popcorn bear stamp personally, but then I hated the one I had as I couldn't get it to stamp properly!

Melissa - Sounds like you have had a lovely time and been very busy! will you share some pictures with us? I hope these papers come out soon!! Wonder if they are already released in the US?

Ali/Rusty - I'll definately post some pics when its finished - I've left it at her house to dry - she says it should be finished in two more visits! My Mum loves homemade things - I'll have to tell her that she's not allowed to move house though!

    Hello all :j

helpinghubby - box of cards would make a lovely present -least I hope so.....thats what I've done for MIL for mums day. I've done half birthday and the other half blank so they can be used for anything -also done little sachet thing to hold stamps that I'll put in for her.

Actually went out today :T First time since Christmas day (apart from hospital with OH).
Did well with bag of ribbon, scrapbook bits and card bits (happy birthday, thank yous etc.) 49p..........got easter tree eggs -they were £2 but saves me having to conconct anything. I'll pop them in egg boxes and send them to sons girlfriends and roll of red textured wallpaper - do for covering christmas boxes, and two candles 49p each..........nice size and scented ones, plus couple of wooden necklaces for sons respective girlfriends -or foster daughter - or maybe me ?
Called at shoe shop and collected 4 shoe boxes to cover -by the time I got to craft shop I forgot what I wanted..............lol Ended up with some paper -amy butler lotus..........be nice for sons girlfriends shoe box I think..........got home and remembered I'd forgotted half the stuff I wanted from craft shop plus printer ink
Oh well, there's always another day........;)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary, I get sidetracked when I'm out shopping so tend to take a list now as I was getting fed up of going out and not coming back with what I wanted ;) :rotfl:

TheWife, take lots of care of yourself missus, we want you fighting fit and back making your beautiful cards x

Mel, your sign sounds fab, you're mum is going to love it :j

Rusty, I think Craftwork Cards is good for cards and the sentiments are lovely - circle or oval. What are you doing with all that card candy??? I'd love an ironing lady, the cleaning doesn't bother me but blimey I hate doing the ironing, it seems so pointless when everything just gets creased again

Flourgirl, my mum loves M&S jewellery and that's what I was thinking I'd pop into her easel card box, great minds think alike ;)

Off to another meeting tonight about the local school not letting silblings in and then will be watching part 2 of 24 as we only watched one of the two episodes last night ;)

Sorry if I missed anyone out will catch up on blogs later.

Have made a couple of new cards on my blog today here and here.
  • Afternoon Ladies - Well Ive been hardly online for three days and have many pages to catch up and and comment!

My cards (and anything else crafty) have been put on hold as my fab OH has been just amazing - Friday he took every bit out of my room and then dismantled my old desk
(saturday I was working so did not do anything)
Sunday he took me to Ikea to get a new desk - I decided I had to have the Expedit bookcase and desk attached! - So happy with the choice the boxes (4 across and 4 down) in the bookcase hold so so much more now than my old desk - and then he took me to Hobbycraft where we got some promarkers (he hunted them down to show me I did not even know what he was looking for!) to be honest I was waiting for pay day to get them online - But he insited - So who am I to say no! heehe
So when we got home, while I tried out the promarkers he put all the desk together and then put all my stuff back - Cannot believe he much he done for me this weekend - Even I realise how lucky I am!
So today I tried out my new desk and its fab so I made him a card but could not put it up on my blog because he would have seen it there before I had given it to him! So will have to wait

    Hope everyone is well
    Gem x

    Snipped your post!

Thanks, I still haven't had a chance to have a proper look yet but want to order tonight. As for card candy, I am still on my first order from them. I have probably about 1-200 left of multiple packs, I think I bought 8 or 9 packs last time but I sent a few little bags out to people and other stuff, must be nearly a year since I last ordered and was thinking I would look and maybe just order 1 of every pack cause I know it will last and therefore just one lot of postage ;) I feel the same as you with the ironing ... people should just be happy to have clothes on their back ... stuff the ironing!!

Mary - sounds like you had a busy day!!

Dragonllew - Beautiful cards! love the monkey image.

Jigga - what a lovely OH you have!! and what a lucky lady you are!!
