Rainmac - thanks for missing me!!!! Sorry to hear your little ones have been sick - Leo has slapped cheek thingie - he seems fine - just looks a bit peculiar - I figured out what it was because I remembered one of your sons had it not so long ago! I'm not sure about the n.e.c yet - I'll have to have a think!!!

Sorry to hear about your Mum ((hugs)).

Rainmac Glad your littlies are improving - you'll be glad to get back to normal.

Rusty Sorry you dd is poorly. Ouch, 2 hours sleep - I remember those days well - the good thing about teenagers is that you're always guaranteed a lie-in :rotfl:

Saucy Sorry to hear your eyes are not so good.

Well after my kitchen gymnastics last night with my Leone-em punch , I am a lot happier this morning. I sharpened my two punches with tin foil (thanks, Flourgirl & Rusty) - got my pastry brush, some sunflower oil and coated the punch getting into as much of the internal gubbins as possible. It worked - had to do loads of oily punches to clear the innards but at least I can now punch without stamping on it.

They don't tell you about this when you start card-making do they :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lovely work on your blogs peeps - have left individual comments.

    Take care all, luv Thriftyxxx

PS I'm up for the CP stash swap - just need to join first.

I hope you do go to the NEC I'd love to meet you. Now that I have ordered my ticket I'm quite excited about going :) Mmm IKEA :) think my DH would like to go again, he keeps saying oooo did you see those thingies (whatever they were) I wish I'd got some Oh and I liked the look at that so and so. I wished I had got some of the chunky red wine glasses for the summer strawberries and ice cream. So I think I will say we are definatley going again!! As for the diam cake we'll see. I have just eaten a huge slice of Alices Fruit Cake with a big mug of coffee:D yum!!

I know that this site has been posted before but I just thought it might benefit our new ladies. Sketches are good for getting your enthusiasm (sp) going when all else fails or if you are stuck in a rut with the same designs, or if you want to do something different.

Thrifty I'm glad you got your punches working ok :)

Flourgirl - Sorry you didn't enjoy your trip to IKEA, I must say we try to go in the evening when it's quieter and have to psych ourselves up to go. (usually I go to the HUGE M&S next door first):j Locating 'big stuff' can be a trial too. I'd had an email telling me I'd not properly selected a book on that RUcraft offer & tried again but they wanted to charge me postage so I emailed them asking why? The reply was that you had to pay postage as part of the offer so I abandoned it. HTH
    Fab pink & brown card!

Rainmac - Pleased to hear your little ones are feeling a bit better. Love the new baby card on your blog.
Snipped you sorry "I was going to start a card swap this month on Crafty Place but got sidetracked and forgot about it :o. Would anyone like to take over arranging it/setting themes?"
Not really, you do it so well!!
Wonder if it would work if, say, the winner of a challenge had to set the next one? Or would people not participate? It might help you as it must be very hard to think of topics and offer prizes. OMG! just remembered I still owe Skiergirl - slinks off.........:o:o

I hope to do another troops card thing but not 'til say late March 'cos of my other committments.

Sal - Sorry to hear DH's sciatica no better. How's things with your son or is it too soon to guage?

DTB - I bet all DS's cards vanished in the first few minutes! Sounds such a lovely boy.

Hello Melissa I missed you too! Hope DS is soon better and you get some time for YOU it's important.

Hope I've not missed anyone.... back to the ironing......:(
