dawnteabag - thanks for putting those links up..........I want to do scrapbooking this year - sort of covering the whole family. Been putting it off for fear of spoiling anything.
We do have a class in town here at the little craft shop but I'd like to go with some sort of idea

    Hi MAry

I think it's one of those things that you just have to have a go at and keep going until you find your style. When I look at my first pages I cringe and I still dont't think I'm anywhere near 'there' but I know what I don;t like which s always a good start.

My local craft shop's scrapbooking class, you go and everything is provided, you just follow the teacher with the materials you are given. It's a really good way of lerning new techniques and everyone's page always looks different despite the fact its the same materials in each one. I've only been a couple of time as I just can't get the babysitter. May be when "& son" is a little older he'll want to come with me - altho I'm not holding my breath!

They also have an adopt a newbie thread on ukscrappers where one of the more experienced scrappers takes you under their wing.

    Go on....have a go!

Marg/Mary/Skiergirl - thanks, OH has just taken my two oldest round to their Nan's house for the night so I'm hoping that Elliot behaves so that I can get started on my mini book.

Thriftyscotslass - your card is gorgeous!! Your colouring looks fantastic - especially her hair and tights!

Dawnteabag - that's great - congratulations to Tom!

Just a quickie, this thread has grown so much since this morning I can't keep up but I have to say well done to Tom with his cards and raising the money for Haiti :T.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I've had a play day mainly and I've managed to sort out what to do with the Nellie Snellen dies. I've also finished off a birthday card for my grandson. You can see what I've been doing here.

I'm off to do something for tea and will catch up with the blogs later on.
  • Yay - well done Tomsmom - the card looks great.
