Hello everyone. I just wanted to say thanks - Tom has been so pleased by all the support he has received from 'his ladies'. I think he was a bit nervous this morning - he asked me to take him into school (he normally goes into school on the bus). His teacher was great about it all and Tom had to stand up in assembly to announce what he was going to do. That would have finished me off at age 9!
Thanks once again - knowing that you experts thought they were good may have made all the difference to his confidence.

My 12x12 storage came today and may big bite and my freebie book. Yay! I love today!

thanks flourgirl - I can't wait to paint it, went to get the paint earlier and didn't know you had to be over 21 to buy spray paint! I just got ID'd in B&Q lol - wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure whether I'm flattered or offended :rotfl:

Brilliant cabinet Gemm, that is going to look so fab in pink!!!

Huge welcome back hug from me Saveapenny xxx

Glittermum, sorry no post from you, no free book for me either...yet.

Rusty, hope you get a better night's sleep tonight xxx Love your blog cards!

I am sat here surrounded by card trying to make an easel box like Padster made but my lid is too small for my box, I've tried different measurements and still can't get it to fit (either too big or too small), think it's time to admit defeat for tonight and try again tomorrow x

  • Thank you Dawnteabag - the pencillines one is exactly what I've been looking for. I love the way everyone interprets a sketch in a different way, it's great.

@dawnteabag - did you say big bite? As in cropadile? I really want one of those for my birthday. Think I might have to buy it myself though. What 12x12 storage did you get? I just have one of those clear plastic containers for now, but it's already full. I didn't really expect the scrapbooking to take off.

@Gemm - that cabinet is awesome. Don't forget to send us a piccy when it's sprayed!

Have a good weekend everybody, I'm off to watch Heroes now :)
  • I want to punch everything in sight...with my bind it all, not violently!!

I couldn't get a circle with the wires, wasted two wires trying. Can't tell if it's because the wires are huge and the book is small, or if I'm just rubbish, but I'm hoping to get more wires delivered tomorrow/Monday. So I'll rebound it then.

Now everything I can see is getting pretty symmetrical rows in it :P

Yes - that's the one I bought it from craft superstore including the storage box and 100 gromlets for about £35 inc p&p because I used the 10% off code I posted a couple of days ago. I've been wanting one for ages - just needed an excuse - now 've been tasked with making Granny's tea party invitations, I have the excuse I needed. I'm also convincing myself that it will be useful as a general household tool, particularly as we camp so it will be useful for setting eyelets in groundsheets etc.

The 12x12 stoarge was originally posted by craftgranny these ones. They're great - I convinced myself I need 10 of these as I have a penchant for expensive paper so its silly to not protect my ahem investment.

    Hiya Marg

    Thank you.

I wrote to my son's college last week when it all started, I explained that my son had said he was feeling like he was struggling a bit and that he was feeling a bit nervous and lonely since he'd had his phone robbed.

I had an absolutely lovely reply from the principal, and it was so obvious that he cared about all of his students (there's about 2000!) and it was so encouraging and reassuring. He said he would have a word with my son's form tutor and make her aware that I'd written with my concerns and together they were going to try and encourage him to join some enrichment programmes which are about to start next week. He also told me of some former pupils who also had Aspergers and who had went on to prosper with the help of the tutors.

He said he would write back to me when they'd decided what other help to offer my son. I was so touched, it almost made me cry as it was a lovely email! He could have quite easily passed it to someone to reply on his behalf, but he didn't, he actually took the time to sit and write it himself.

    Thank you for asking, Marg.

Thank you Sal I'm pleased things are looking up it does restore your faith doesn't it when people make just abit of effort to help.

Gemma - That's a brilliant save from your office - they are dead expensive to buy! Be pleased they thought you were young in B&Q you'll be even more pleased in years to come if folk think you are young!!

DTB - Hope this is the start of a run of good luck for you after your spell of the other sort.

Great office storage Gemm - looking forward to seeing it sprayed pink.

Good to hear you are sorting things out for your son, Sal. Hope he gets all the support he needs.

I'm thinking about using this image on a card, but can someone just confirm that it is a little boy fishing (which is what I want) and not a girl? It is just that the wings have thrown me a bit if its a boy.

Sorry you're having problems rainmac - if I can help give me a shout - are you scoring the bigger bottom bit at an inch and the smaller top at 1/2 an inch?
    How much is it out?
