I get let's make cards on subscription and I think I decided well which subs to choose as I don't think I'd pay £8 for them most months... I couldn't justify it as the mag is mostly 'look what you can do with these' and usually the examples are by people who like cluttered cards... which I can't bear making lol.... minimalism-r-us .....

Re: Ebay watch it...Whoopidoo and I have been lusting over that new partwork to learn crochet and the first part is 99p....and people have been selling it for a tenner on Ebay..and people have been buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...then again Let's Make Cards is more available shops wise so hopefully you may be able to get a bargain

*hugs* to you all- haven't been able to read much .. yet again :(

Will prob tell some of you the whole stupid story in an email (you poor lot :P ) but don't want to post it here or else you'd either get all depressed for a Monday morning or get sick of me whingeing

    HUUUUGS

    I'm having a blonde moment.
    If I buy this stamp:
    http://www.madaboutcards.com/product.php/18683/0
Do I get all of them, or do I need to buy the sheep, owl, bird etc separately?

Saucy - If you buy that stamp (lamb) pictured on the link then you get that stamp in the picture with the little ones and the sentiments, you would then have to purchase the others seperately!! They are beautiful stamps but please be warned that they are quite blocked, so if you stamped in black ink most of the image would be black. OH was going to buy them for me but then he showed me and I wasn't impressed by them. But you may be :)

Rainmac - WOW!! That is lovely!! where did you buy it from?

I don't suppose you know where he showed you from? :P I wanted to colour them in, I don't know if I'd use them otherwise. Thanks for your help :)

Saucy - It was in a shop, its quite hard to explain what I mean ... best thing would be if you have a stockist locally to you that you could go and look at them?

Just noticed these on google, they are a bit cheaper here if you still wanted them?

I put in a number of orders over a week ago. I received my order from The Glitter Pot the day after (amazing!)

STILL haven't even got the dispatch from Mad About Cards or Payper Pot, so I emailed them both asking what was going on. I completely understand the weather is awful, so if that was the reason that was fine of course, but some communication would have been nice.

Payper Pot phoned me early in the morning to say the last bit of my card number hadn't came through. Um, it took you a week to notice that?? I gave it to them and now my order has been upgraded to dispatch.

Mad About Cards emailed back to say they were busier than usual, and are behind on all orders. So if you're SO busy, why am I getting daily emails from you advertising stuff? You can't even get the orders you do have out on time!

Yesterday I put one last order in for a few bits and pieces I wanted - who did I chose? The Glitter Pot of course! So it's not great business sense to overwhelm themselves with orders they can't cope with - because people like a quick dispatch time!

So to be honest, my advise would be to avoid Mad About Cards at the moment, unless they are the only one that sells something!

Jazabelle Great cards, the first one is my favourite, very pretty. Also, I've done a fair bit of decoupage. I'm no expert but it's passable. You can use foam pads or you can use silicone glue. I've used both, I started off with foam pads then I learnt how to curve the pieces (I use a pencil and curve edges of flowers, etc., gives a bit of "movement") and found that with silicone you can use as much or as little as you need. Have a look at this card I've put on my blog for you. I hope you can understand my explanation. Also, when you've cut your decoupage it's a good idea to go round the edges with a pencil rather than leave them stark white, I use a soft artist pencil so it gives a greyish edge.Silicone glue takes some getting used to but I like the movement it gives. I use a cocktail stick, squeeze a bit out of the tube, slice it off with the cocktail stick then apply to the decoupage. It also gives you time to move your image around and get it exactly in the right place, you can't do that with foam pads. If some gets in the wrong place, let it dry then just pick it off, it wont leave any residue.

Aw, thank you! Thanks so much for your instructions, very helpful! The card as illustration is great (a lovely card!) and I will come back when my decoupage stuff arrives to follow it properly!

I also LOVE your purple card, it's gorgeous!
