Saucy - lol I am waiting for deliveries as well !!! Aargh its killing me - I REALLY need them NOW - even if it is just to stroke:rolleyes: I didnt get the Shaun the Sheep mag - but I did when it was Wallace & Grommit and I dont think I would pay £8 again for it - quite a few bits and pieces in but not a lot in the actual magazine.0 -
O goodness, 3 pages since I went to bed last night, hope I remember everything!
Kimpossible Lovely challenge cards, I love the sheep image too.
Palema Cute baby cards, great bargain with those sets.
NE girl Love your spotty cards, I'm into spotty at the moment.
Jazabelle Great cards, the first one is my favourite, very pretty. Also, I've done a fair bit of decoupage. I'm no expert but it's passable. You can use foam pads or you can use silicone glue. I've used both, I started off with foam pads then I learnt how to curve the pieces (I use a pencil and curve edges of flowers, etc., gives a bit of "movement") and found that with silicone you can use as much or as little as you need. Have a look at this card I've put on my blog for you. I hope you can understand my explanation. Also, when you've cut your decoupage it's a good idea to go round the edges with a pencil rather than leave them stark white, I use a soft artist pencil so it gives a greyish edge.Silicone glue takes some getting used to but I like the movement it gives. I use a cocktail stick, squeeze a bit out of the tube, slice it off with the cocktail stick then apply to the decoupage. It also gives you time to move your image around and get it exactly in the right place, you can't do that with foam pads. If some gets in the wrong place, let it dry then just pick it off, it wont leave any residue.
Saucy Secrets Hope the above about decoupage helps you too. Took me ages to be happy with mine, I watched the craft programmes and did some googling then practised.
Marg I thought I was the only one who spends ages trying to make a card, and it looks so carp I throw it away!
Louby-lou-lou Will be thinking of you and baby Harry's appointments later this week.
Flourgirl I love your card, the embossed vellum looks really good. I have loads of vellum so will have a play.
Rainmac Can I start a challenge please?
I put a card on my blog yesterday which I challenged myself to do - a basic card with nothing 3D that would prevent it from being scanned. This was because of my mishap with the camera so anything I made had to be able to be scanned. So I went "Back to Basics" or KISS (Keep It Simple, Susan). Would anyone else like to do this?
Gosh, that was a marathon and lots of posts since I started typing this message. Sorry if I've left anyone out.0 -
I get let's make cards on subscription and I think I decided well which subs to choose as I don't think I'd pay £8 for them most months... I couldn't justify it as the mag is mostly 'look what you can do with these' and usually the examples are by people who like cluttered cards... which I can't bear making lol.... minimalism-r-us .....
Re: Ebay watch it...Whoopidoo and I have been lusting over that new partwork to learn crochet and the first part is 99p....and people have been selling it for a tenner on Ebay..and people have been buying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...then again Let's Make Cards is more available shops wise so hopefully you may be able to get a bargain
*hugs* to you all- haven't been able to read much .. yet again
Will prob tell some of you the whole stupid story in an email (you poor lot :P ) but don't want to post it here or else you'd either get all depressed for a Monday morning or get sick of me whingeing
HUUUUGS

Of course you can set the next challenge, looking forward to it!!! When we're organised we try and set a challenge at the beginning of a week and let it run for two weeks. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I'm having a blonde moment.
If I buy this stamp:

Do I get all of them, or do I need to buy the sheep, owl, bird etc separately?Signature down for maintenance :rotfl:0 -
I've sort of found the calendar thing I was looking for but this is nicer than what I saw in the first place so have just purchased this. Thought if I buy it now, I'll have plenty of time to find the right papers and get it all ready for 1st December 2010
Now best get on with the dratted tidying

You'd get all of them :j but look around cos madaboutcards p&p in expensive. I think the Glitter Pot has those stamps and for orders under £10, p&p is only £1They are so very cute
