Bit of a noob here; we want to make our wedding invites to make it a bit more personal. I got all excited; ordered cards, ribbon etc and now have no idea what to do with it all! Any tips?

Superfran - it's hard to say unless we know what you are aiming for - but I'd say practise first with an ordinary sheet of paper & don't glue anything until you are sure. If you post some pics or describe we may be able to help more......

Eek! Snowed in here! Got all excited thinking I can sit and make cards. Then the Postman turned up with a big (and I mean big) Parcel full of craft bits and got even more excited but still sat here with no inspiration at all and thinking I'm wasting my day. Oh dear :(

Well the theme is blue and we want something simple and easy as I'm not the most artistic, there are 80 to make and my partner has only one working arm at the moment.

Basically I need an idea for the front. I have wedding invitation peel offs and I've seen invites with flowers or rings stuck on them - although having looked into it it's expensive and I'm not even sure they would survive the post!

I am literally a blank canvas open to ideas!

That's lovely! Unfortunately we've already got regular cards - although the heart over the ribbon is a nice touch and simple. Wouldn't pay £60 for 20 though! :O
  • Afternoon all, hope you are all okay with the weather. We are snowed in for the second day - no schools, buses, post - now that is just not on, specially as I am waiting for some craft parcels
OAP1945 That's a beautiful card – the papers are to die for!
Bunbun2 Good luck to OH in his new job and for your two projects
Rusty Your kiddies are just gorgeous :A
Melissa Mmmnnn sausage and mash – the best sort of tea in this weather :T
Craftgranny So glad the op went well – hugs to you and yours
Superfran_uk I agree with Gemm85, having a browse in blogland is a good way to start, my only problem is getting out of blogland – where does the time go

Hugs to anyone who I have missed - I disappeared off in blogland yesterday and came back here today to four pages, you chatty lot you.

Take care everyone, especially if you have to travel.

    Keep warm, Thriftyxxx
