Hiya Rusty
Thanks for that, how are you now, ok since you had your jab??
He's meant to be going for his pre-assessment tomorrow before he has his endoscopy on Friday, but he's saying he doesn't think he'll be able to go. I said he is, even if I take him in a wheelchair, as he's put off going to see about his stomach problems for long enough, so now that the consultant wants him to have an endoscopy and a CT scan, I don't want him missing that, as I'm hoping and praying that it's not something sinister.
I'm such a bully and he thinks I'm being unsympathetic, but I'm not, I do feel for him and I am worried sick, just don't want him to see that, I'm trying to joke with him to take his mind off it.

I was on paracetamol, ibruprofen, amitryptaline and tramadol, I swapped and switched tablets til I had week/2 week trials on them to see if they helped but always ended up back on the above. I tried physio and everything. Nothing worked for me apart from when I had my injection in my spine. Keeping my fingers crossed for your OH as I would not wish sciatica on my worst enemy ever!! it is evil and made my life hell!! I just need to keep fingers crossed that mine doesn't come back in 4-5 months time when the jab wears off!!
Rainmac - hope you feel better soon xxx
Flourgirl - Glad you had a lovely time! xx
Melissa - Thanksyou made me spend some money with one of your links, they had 4.5/6.5 DCWV papers reduced to £3.36 and £3.50 so I bought some of each
just to add to my stash! lol
sorry I am struggling to remember what everyone has posted! hugs to those who need them and hope those who are poorly get well soon ...
Anyone seen Bunbun?
We had a manic day yesterday at the club where I work. It was spent with my OH's family + friends and also a whole lot of regulars who I serve (when I get back in a couple of weeks) Had a fantastic day and have had a relaxing day today preparing for DS to come home tomorrow and DD to go to nursery on Monday!!
Question .... Am I being unreasonable? ... Called my ex this afternoon to ask when he is set to have contact through easter as we have found cheap flights out to Bulgaria and I really miss my Dad so were thinking of a week out there visiting with the children (they haven't seen DD in the flesh since she was 8 or 9 months old!!) anyway he told me all his paperwork was put away ready for the move (first I had heard) so I said ooh are you moving anywhere nice ... he told me he was moving in with his girlfriend, now this doesn't bother me one bit, but what does bother me is that when Tom goes to stay there the sleeping arrangements are strange i.e someone has to sleep on the sofa or share beds or something which clearly shows it is a small house, and also I have never met his girlfriend yet I am expected to not show concerns when my son will be staying there and also I get the impression that she already tells him off which I am mad about as she has no right to do that.
So am I being unreasonable?0 -
Hello all - smashing cards you've done :T
melissa & rainmac - did some cards with just pretty paper and ribbon and some more obviously birthday cards...........there's two sections to the box so I can tie each up with a ribbon. Also concocted a sort of mini folder/sachet out of the same card I covered the box with -going to put book of stamps in that for her.
Thats all done now -(pats self on the back...........:rotfl:)
Rusty - I remember you and your sciatica........you went through all sorts with it.
You're not being unreasonable at all..........can't really add to anything thats been said other than 'ditto'.
sally - if OH doesn't feel any better get him to emergency GP -could be painkillers aren't strong enough. I couldn't take the really strong ones and it was awful..........had to be helped into a taxi and out again just to go into town, Sciatica can take a long time and though I was ok after 6 weeks aromatherapy treatment I really should have gone back once a month for a sort of 'top up' if you know what I mean. I didn't, and keep thinking I should have but at £25 a session -well I needed the money for other things at the time.
We've got a chiropractor now and I could be referred to him through our GP but I'm not sure what they do or whether that would be right for me anyway........least it would be on nhs.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi Mary
Thanks for that suggestion. I'll mention it to him and get him to ask his GP if he can maybe see someone via the NHS, that's a good idea.
Just getting him to do it now is another matter - LOL

sally - if he gets really bad ring the paramedics -never mind what he says. (if he's anything like my OH he'd hate that but sometimes needs must I think)
Remember OH a few years back new years day, couldn't stand up...............despite his protests I rang ambulance and he kept saying he was alright even though he had to be carried out..............when he got to A & E after blood tests etc. he had sweet coffee and biscuits which he hates, but it did the trick............his sugar level had dropped and thats all it needed but we could never have known that at the time. Now he takes a bit of sugar in his coffee first thing and always keeps some fruit gums handy..........just in case. Bloomin' men !.................lolI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
