    Hello all :j
Super cards..............:T Had a go at making a few this morning to put in a box for MIL as she can't get out to get them herself now. Thought I do a mixture of birthday cards and notelets...........bit stuck on the notelets though..............any ideas ?

Sally - do hope OH feels better soon and his tests are ok..........I've had sciatica and it's really painful -have to ask the girls here to wear their knickers inside out (or anything).........someone told me it was lucky and you never know...........OH has appt. with consultant 20th Jan so I'll be pleading for the 'inside out' myself.

    Hi Mary

Can I ask how long you had it for and was it a one off, or is it something you suffer from periodically?

Sally - I had it about two or three years ago..........my own fault trying to shift a heavy plant pot full of wet soil ! Went to the GP and he said it was sciatica and if it didn't ease up in about 3 weeks he'd refer me to physio.
Painkillers I was given just knocked me out and couldn't wait 3 weeks so went to an Aromotherapy massage lady in town. Took six weeks and first few sessions I could hardly walk but in 6 weeks it was fine. Mind you I do still have back problems but always have from having slipped disc twice in the early 70's then going on to do work stripping old pine furniture - worst thing I could have done really.
Now I can't lift anything heavy, bending is painful and so is standing for a long period.
I think everyones different though........my friend's daughter's got it and she's in her early 20's - she's yet to find something that works.
Oh hark at me .........not exactly cheerful am I
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Mary - I've seen people who've made packs of notelets before by folding a piece of a4 paper in half twice so its the size of a c6 card blank and then just putting a simple bit of decoration on the front. Is that the sort of notelet you meant?
  • I have sat for quite a bit of time making a few more cards today. I have posted them on my blog :)
