Happy New Year Everyone!
I've not posted for a wee while so hope everyone is well and has had a good festive season? Hello to the newbies here too.
Well the start of the year hasn't been as good as we hoped. First of all OH ended up in casualty on Xmas Ever with a huge lump the developed in the centre of his hand, which they reckoned was just a ganglion, but painful. And he's also been bothered with a painful back as well as stomach problems! He was finally referred to the consultant and seen him last Wednesday who has arranged for him to have an endoscopy and a CT scan soon
Today his back was agony and he couldn't bear to put any weight on it, so wanted to go back to casualty. We got there and they sent us to the out of hours doctor who has diagnosed sciatica so he's in agony!
I came down with a bad case of diarrhoea on Thursday morning and still feel pretty grotty - so all in all it's been a rubbish start to the year - lol.
Hope everyone else's has been a lot better than ours!
Happy New Year Everyone!

:j:THappy New Year Everyone:j:T
Welcome to all our new ladies, looking forward to seeing your crafty bits and [STRIKE]pinching[/STRIKE] admiring your ideas
We had a fab time in Venice even though the high tides flooded the place in the mornings. The weather was overcast with a bit of drizzle but nothing much to worry about. The hotel was fabulous and the food devine! think I have put about 1/2 stone on  We were a little dissapointed that we didn't get to celebrate the new year in St Marks square but didn't want to risk getting stuck in the floods, so we opted for the entertainment in the piazza near the hotel in Mestre and the fireworks were great as was the atmosphere. Will try to get some photos on photobucket tomorrow.0 -
Hello all :j
Super cards..............:T Had a go at making a few this morning to put in a box for MIL as she can't get out to get them herself now. Thought I do a mixture of birthday cards and notelets...........bit stuck on the notelets though..............any ideas ?
Sally - do hope OH feels better soon and his tests are ok..........I've had sciatica and it's really painful -have to ask the girls here to wear their knickers inside out (or anything).........someone told me it was lucky and you never know...........OH has appt. with consultant 20th Jan so I'll be pleading for the 'inside out' myself.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Popkins thank-you for your lovely card, it was a lovely welcome home, I do admire you for your computer skills, I'm so rubbish at techie stuff. x
My Dad has been in hospital while we were away. They addmitted him as an emergency and it wasn't kidney stones at all but water retention!! his GP was fuming with the A&E Doctor for getting things so wrong. Once in there they drained 3lts of fluid from his bladder and the pain went almost straight away. The Dr has told him he will need an operation in about 4 weeks so un til then he had to have a cathitor (sp) and visits from the nurse, but at least he is free from pain and looks like his old self again.
Hopefully I will get back to crafting tomorrow and have a go at Rainmacs Sketch Challenge.0
