CT, thanks for the Nellie Bow link, thats the style I linked to although not a bow but just a double knot.

Another good way of using smaller pieces of ribbon is to get the OH to put two fingers together and hold them out ( like a make-believe gun he used to play with when he was young!), tie a loop of ribbon around his finger in a double knot, slide off the loop from his fingers and cut the ribbon loop at an angle. This ribbon knot looks good where ever you place it on the card.

Just updated the blog here with a photo using the knotty ribbon.

Hi the wife, cross-posted (again, I seem to make a habit of that :o). Space isn't a problem, I was inspired by all the craft room/desk photos a while back (told you I was a lurker :rotfl:) and we turned our office into my own craft room, it was very exciting. The office was only used by my husband to play his xbox in so he agreed to transform the office as he could play his xbox on the big tv in the living room. And as I mentioned before I've had a tough year so I think he was just happy to see a smile on my face when we agreed on 'the crafty room'.

As for 'what I want to do' I'm not sure really. sounds awful doesn't it but I'm still learning about all the different techniques and equipment and had heard talk of the 'big shot'/'bug'/'nesties' and thought that they may be fun to try and would also increase my crafting repetoire

    Thanks Marg

I never thought of that before and Nannyboo

I've never tried embossing before, but I do have the equipment I think I got as a freebie from somewhere.

"Roofers have arrived :j:j Only thing was I wasn't expecting them and had put on my bright red fleecy pjs covered with penguins :o - still kept them amused :rotfl: "

Amused me too!! Thanks for digi links.

Sally - Could you print some of your own words in a nice typeface, cut & stick, maybe with pads? if you've got time to wait I could always send you some - they come out a dull gold, though. Or if it appeals, for your Christmas cards. Let me know what words, colour, size style & I'll have a go.[/QUOTE]

Rik, if you would like to know more about Nesties check out www.spellbinderspaperarts.com or www.splitcoasterstampers.com both have fab galleries for that little bit of inspiration we all need from time to time, especially anything to do with die cutting.

"& son" has finally got around to updating his blog with the present and card he made for rainmac's birthday. Piccies here.

He only realised as he was updating his blog that there had been a slight spelling mistake on the gift but I said that no-one else would notice
  • I have been so busy i haven't posted in a while, I did that little craft fair last week and this time i am pleased to say i did very well. The main difference was the age range of the people and there was lots of other children there who had the money and wanted the snowmen kisses, snowman soup and jingle beans. I even sold some coaster calenders which was great. Still can't match rainmacs efforts but i was pleased as i didn't pay for the stall. Updated my blog with some last christmas cards of this year.
I caught my hubby looking on his laptop at cuttlebugs :j We will see.
I wanted to get my nieces birthday card done for jan before bubs comes but i need a velcro fastener type thing so it can open and be closed but i can't find anything. I didn't really want to go out shopping but i think the only place will be a wilkos won't it?

:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
