    Thanks Craftgranny

I know Dewsbury but haven't been there very often, I believe it's got quite a good market there?

You know I've been thinking about cakes for men and might actually make one to take along with me, just to show that they're not just for women and children! Thanks for the suggestion.

Once again have forgotten what I've read so apologies if I miss responding - should have made notes as I went along!

Craftygranny - Brilliant result on your fundraising & Congratulations on more twins! I'm a coward & always said I'd like twins so I'd only have to go thro' childbirth once!:rotfl:You can send yours here if Alyssa changes her mind! Be careful of Botany Bay I believe they charge quite a hefty entrance fee although I have never been there myself. If I get chance will find out for you.

Bring on your lottery win!! We could all have craft buddies then within walking distance. ]

PMSL at marg you did read the bit where i said mine are 6ft 0dd 18 year olds now didn't you . You might cause quite a stir on your street suddenly moving 18 year old identical twin males in. :rotfl:

My hubby was laughing last night he said if i win the lottery don't bother with the craft rooms just build a huge community centre full of stash then we can share and save the postage. Then cheeky monkey said if you lot got together you'd be so busy gossiping etc you'd never go home. Think he might be trying to tell me something.

  • Sally i did one at the weekend with chocolate brown towels and 3 bottles of lynx shower gel donated by sons who got 20 lynx gift sets each last xmas and more for their birthdays in october so they gave me 3 unopened sets each as they said they won't use them all before xmas and no doubt they'll get one or two more. Seems like they must be hard to buy for. lol. I'll see if i took a pic and post it on the towel thread.

Hello again! Popping in again inbetween making my christmassy bits and bobs. Maybe I'll come on a bit more when I've got my christmas cards made to show you? Best get my skates on though, times ticking away and I'm sure you've all done all yours....?

Could I just add my tuppence worth about craft fairs? I think by their nature that they attract other arty people/crafters who tend to go to [STRIKE]look[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]steal [/STRIKE] 'borrow' other people's ideas! I know I do! :o I love looking at other people's work and thinking 'That's a good idea, I bet I could do that!' and being on a very tight budget (hubby has been made redundant recently!:() I do like to go but not buy! Those of you that have had a stall and not sold much, I'm sure it's not because your stuff isn't good its because of the reason stated above imo! I've been to two recently and you can often tell the arty types, dressed in slightly more colourful clothes and examining how things are made! :rotfl: One stall sold DIY crafty kits and glitter packs, etc and their stall did seem to be quite crowded!

That said, there are exceptions and stalls for good causes and well made impressive stuff still sells but sometimes its just who is there on the day. Good luck to those that have stalls coming up!

  • Rusty - popcorn has arrived as well! - Thank you ever so ever so much.

Poor postie was struggling this morning wondered why I didn't get any post yesterday - order from Craft Island arrived as well and only ordered it Sunday night :D

Last window is in but they've had to take one back as it doesn't work properly - suppose I'll have to clean them once in a while now as don't have the excuse that they might fall out :rotfl:. Cat is sat on the windowsill as we speak :p will post before and after piccys later.

Got some crafting done last night but had to stop to watch Flash Forward - OH away tonight dog racing (my money's on the dog :rotfl::rotfl:) so will get on with swaps.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Doesn't say much about what shops are there though

Marg glad your'e still enjoying the Alice cake, its a firm favourite with my lot too. Do you like sticky ginger cake?

Ooh thank you for that . Think i'll scare the mother in law and tell her i'm off to visit her. Bet my oh asks where i'm planning on calling on the way. Me thinks he knows me far too well.
I had an email from little claires last week and left it on the laptop and a bit later he said the postie must be fed up now he's brought so many promarkers he tells him that's what i've got when he hands the parcels over.

Lovely postie asked who alicia was and what all the parcels are for so my oh told him and he brought 2 gift sets and told us to use them for a raffle etc.
