Afternoon Ladies i used to make lots of crafty bits and cards but unfortunately due to lack of time i havent been able to do anything for ages (at least a year :o) anyway i would like to make a card that could hold a gift card for a 10 year old girls christmas present to make it look a bit nicer than just a gift card. If anyone has any ideas/tutorials and pictures could you please post it on here. I would be very greatful and it might inspire me to get my !!!!! into gear and start crafting again. I had a cupboard specially made for me to house all my crafting bits and i havent even got them out since i bought it .

nannyboo - you sound a lot happier today :D
Paddington - only one word - wow!! v. organised. (oh thats three !)
rainmac - some of the other forums are a bit scary - I cant believe some of the things people say and are so rude think I'll stay over the crafty side its safe & warm.

Just tried to make hubbys xmas card using a template of 2 penguins from papercraft inspirations website - what a disaster my cutting out is a mess -I am sure I was going about it in the wrong way!Back to the drawing board!!
  • Hello glittermum - you definitely sound younger now ;) Hope you didn't think you had to change your name because of the NEC 12 telling you it made you sound old. :o It was a compliment really as you look so young in real life!

Here's the tattoos (pics are not very big though, sorry!):

Ths one is a pair of cherries, but close-up they're actually skulls.

This one is me, DD's daisy on her arm, and my two friends with tattoos on their wrists. We totally took over the tattoo parlour - I was the only one who'd made an appointment, the poor guy didn't know what had hit him!

I then couldn't resist getting another tattoo, so had this daisy in my ear:

I'm already planning my next one. ;)
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Arrhhh, we are lovely people here nannyboo :A. Not like the people on the comp board . I posted a comp on there today that I found online and someone has said my post is a dupe (means to deceive - looked it up on the web to check ;)) and told me to change the format of my title. I was trying to be nice but not going back there again in a hurry  Will stay here where people are friendly and nice xxx

Bless you why are people so horrible - guess its cos they aren't crafters

:eek: I'm a comper! It's my other hobby - I spend hours in there. And definitely a crafter.... saying that I only mainly go in, enter the comps and say thank you if I win something. I gave up posting comps I found as they were nearly always dupes - think they mean it as it's a duplicate, already posted ;) they are hot on it cos if you enter the same comp twice you disqualify yourself ;):D

p.s Alyssa I was trying to comment on that card but my pc is really playing up - think it's on it's way out - am desperately hoping my new usb thingy arrives in time for me to back up my photos, but anyway I didn't say anything as thought it was my pc stopping me - it's freezing on a lot of sites. Hope you get it sorted.

eta - just had a look at mine. If you click customise (top right) and settings (top left) then the comments tab - check that it is on the option to allow comments. If not that then maybe try reverting to original template but you would lose your skin then.
