Thank you for the answers about the printer, I seem to have spent half of today reading online reviews and think it'll be an epson or canon one as the replacement inks are cheaper (very MSE) :rotfl:

I can't seem to get into any crafting at the moment, I haven't made anything for weeks and even my stitching has been neglected, maybe the NEC will help
  • Heelo ladies, sorry I've been AWOL for so long :o - I had 4 straight nights of partying to celebrate getting my Master's , then a long weekend recovering!
Things have been very hectic here - me and my friend decided lsat week that we're going into business together. :) We've found the shop that we wnat in an ideal location and it's vacant from 1st December - we'll be selling vintage clothing and vgc second-hand clothing on commission for customers who want to sell them. It's all go now trying to get everything in place.

I can't go back to where I left off on here, it's too daunting. :o
Just wanted to say (although someone may already have posted this), I bought Papercraft Inspirations today in Sainsbury's. It's £3.99 and comes with Christmas stamps, but also has a free copy of DoCrafts Creativity with the Forever Friends Christmas stamp. :D

I will be at the NEC next Friday - has anyone made arrangements yet for how we'll all find each other?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Sounds like you've been having a great time!!! Huge good luck with the new shop, sounds fantastic. We have got an NEC thread going on Crafty Place (under Anything Crafty I think?). Some people have said they aim to get there about 10am - me included! Can you PM me your mobile number and I'll text back so we have each others numbers ;)

flourgirl, your craft room is going to be fab, fab, fab, when can I come and move in? Your desk area is sooo neat, you should see the mess my living room is in at the moment with lots of part-made stuff all over the place :o Got all my ironing done and out of the way today so I am pleased about that :D

I love that mint wallet thingie but not sure how it's been constructed, can someone help me out. Think I am having a thick moment but I don't understand where the indent bit comes from that the mint sits in?

MrsTidge, fab news about your craft fair. Please nick away with ideas, I think all my stuff is from other people's ideas ;) Hope your poorly little one is better soon x What size paperclips did you buy? I ordered some from ebay and they are about 75mm, not sure that will be big enough now???

As for punches, I do have a few Woodware ones and a couple of Dovecraft ones. I think the Woodware ones are better quality-wise and have bought mine from Happy Daze (free p&p if you spend over £10) and The Glitterpot.
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

It looks to me if its been made like a matchbook so would have a bit coming down the back then a bit folded up and thats the bit you would punch the shape out of hope you get what i mean :rotfl:

Rainmac- I've gone for the 75mm too - couldn't find any bigger!

Just been to the Range for loads of Bazill and waiting for the boys to go to bed to get cracking on some post it note holders!

JHB - way to go celebrating for 4 days - and good luck with your new venture - sounds really exciting.
  • Thanks Rainmac - will do. :)

Forgot to say earlier - craftygranny, thank you so much for the manga images. :) I've been doing lots of colouring in. :)

Also, now that I've been looking through today's magazines, congratulations Mel! :j :j :j

Oh my - has any one seen the Just Rite Nestabilitie stamps? Bh still my beating heart! THey are circes and you can mix and match circle borders and middles-and they fit perfectly with Nesties. Must check out stand E18 next Friday!
