I am bad, just ordered some stamped images from ebay and a couple from Elzybells including this little chap...

Paid with Paypal funds so not like using real money ;)

Rusty, so sorry to hear about your poorly car. Mine is making a noise when I turn left, apparently not a problem so I am putting up with the noise. A friend of mine bought a really old Skoda a few years ago for about £300 and it hasn't ever cost her any money and always gets through it's MOT without a problem. Mine has cost quite a lot in the last 2 years and is newer (02 plate). She is going to trade hers in with the car swap scheme if she can find a new car she can afford.

Jusy realised we are not running a card challenge at the moment. Shall we have a break and start one next week? Does anyone fancy running it?

You can get big tubs of these from ikea for about £1.99-£2.99 :D or if you are jammy like me and catch them at the right time they only cost 19p a tub :D ... I have 4 tubs here :rotfl:

Well I thought today was starting to look up ... I managed to walk to work with DD walking aswell  and we got a bus home which was great for DD as she has never been on a bus! ....

OH has just emailed me to tell me that the problem with my car is a fuel pump .... nothing too sinister ... should be fine and not too expensive to fix ..... or so I thought. Turns out that for my poxy little vauxhall astra it will cost £700 just for a new fuel pump!!!!!!!!!!! thats just the parts at a trade price  that is without any labour costs or recovery costs! :(

So knowing I only paid £2.300 for the car a couple of years ago I said to OH about us scrapping mine in using this scrappage scheme ... you can get £2000 off a new car for the scrappage scheme now and if I was to sell privately then I would probably only get £1500 for mine... he made me check the log book to find out the date ... and apparently my car is 29 days too new to be included in the scrappage scheme!!

Oh well time to start selling bits and bobs to try and find the money to get it fixed!! OH has said he wants rid of his car before it gets to 3 years old because of all of the problems so now we are back to square one!
Oh I really feel for you Rusty we're having the same problem
ours is a £1000 to fix !!!! so at the moment hubbys using my car for work and I'm having to get the bus
    such a pain
luckily we have lovely in laws who are lending us the money but then we need to pay it back !!! life isn't good is it

What a cute image - rainmac, really sweet.

Sorry about your cars Rusty and Sunrise, such a pain to be without one, but glad your DD enjoyed the bus ride. My kids love going on adventures on the bus. They are not bothered where we go either, and I think it is great as they are free :D:D. I've just been told that it would cost me £1 with my oyster card to go to heathrow airport, with the kids going free. That will take up one of the rainy days in the October half term!

Flourgirl - can you help please. Having now got my cuttlebug, and looking at tutorials on youtube, I know that you can use nestabilities with the bug. When you sent me some scalloped circles the other week did you do them with nestabilities, and if so were they something like this - nestabilities - I assume these ones cut the shape out as it says 'dies'. This may sound thick, but do you get all 6 of the sizes? Have no idea, but want to be able to do some scalloped circles, and think this may be a cheaper way instead of getting separate punches in different sizes. Also on one of the tutorials I saw it said that you need to use an embossing mat to be able to use these in a cuttlebug, is this true? Thanks.

I know you were asking flourgirl - CT

But yes you can use them in the cuttlebug I don't use an embossing mat - you only need that if you want to emboss rather than cut out but I've never used them like that.
You do get all the sizes some sets have 6 but some like the ovals only have 5.

My labels nesties and my new stamps arrived today - will find time to play later maybe but have to go to the dentist first :o.
Cars are expensive nasties mine has cost me about £900 so far this year but its cheaper than a new one - have had new tyres, new ABS rings, new front springs and a bearing and a new exhaust and new wipers  Was worried about driving it for a while but am ok now (just about). OH had a brand new one and it broke after 2 weeks and took 6 weeks to get the bits fortunately it was a company one so he just got a replacement :p.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

CT Yes they are the ones and you do get all 6 sizes, the picture is a bit misleading cos they are like copper coloured rings and not solids IYKWIM I don't have an embossing mat I think they are to emboss around the edge of the circle just to give more definition, I will get one one day :) Just be careful to use it the right way up otherwise it will mark your C plate. Have you looked at Ikkis blog? I will find you the link
