I've been trying to convince myself that this really is a money saving thread o I thought I'd share this little nugget with you. Buying a cuttlebug is actually MSE as you can emboss creased pieces of paper that you might normally throw away. See, every little helps!
My challenge card is here0 -

You can get big tubs of these from ikea for about £1.99-£2.99or if you are jammy like me and catch them at the right time they only cost 19p a tub
... I have 4 tubs here :rotfl:
Well I thought today was starting to look up ... I managed to walk to work with DD walking aswell  and we got a bus home which was great for DD as she has never been on a bus! ....
OH has just emailed me to tell me that the problem with my car is a fuel pump .... nothing too sinister ... should be fine and not too expensive to fix ..... or so I thought. Turns out that for my poxy little vauxhall astra it will cost £700 just for a new fuel pump!!!!!!!!!!! thats just the parts at a trade price  that is without any labour costs or recovery costs!
So knowing I only paid £2.300 for the car a couple of years ago I said to OH about us scrapping mine in using this scrappage scheme ... you can get £2000 off a new car for the scrappage scheme now and if I was to sell privately then I would probably only get £1500 for mine... he made me check the log book to find out the date ... and apparently my car is 29 days too new to be included in the scrappage scheme!!
Oh well time to start selling bits and bobs to try and find the money to get it fixed!! OH has said he wants rid of his car before it gets to 3 years old because of all of the problems so now we are back to square one!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Crikey Rusty thats a lot of money, you are not having much luck lately
Glad your little girl enjoyed her adventure on the bus
Touch wood the car I have now has been brilliant, its 5 years old, it went for service and MOT yesterday and it failed cos it needed a new wiper blade!!Thats the first thing its needed. DH said he will have new tyres put on for me after christmas though.
I understand where youre coming from regarding scrapping it, sometimes its just better to get rid. I think when they have let you down a couple of times it puts you off using them. However I wouldn't want to be without one.0
