I've uploaded a new card to my blog (http://leialegweak.blogspot.com/) made using the iris-folding technique. There have been some gorgeous cards made recently - I have to make a wedding one at some point soon but don't know where to start! x0 -
Gemm85 - hope your cat recovers soon!
Rainmac - sorry to hear about your absess! At least if its taken out that will be an end to the problem!

I love everything about your card Polly, it's beautiful x
Lei, fab card on your blog, you have lots of patience
Gemm, hope your m&d cat is ok, poor thing must be rather confused at what's happening xxx
Rusty, your DS is a bit of a jetsetter, he'll have a fab time and your DD will be so excited getting ready for him coming home. I took my DS1 round to a friend's house on Tuesday and DS2 broke down with uncontrollable sobs to be split from his brother as they have been together pretty much all holiday. I took DS2 to the park so the sobs were short lived but it was horrible to see him so upset.
Mary, I bought the thin calendars from there last year but they aren't on the website now are they? They were a £1 cheaper too, maybe worth dropping them a line to see if they are going to do them again?
Here's a couple of freebie from Bee Crafty, very sweet... http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_7j3DKGdp274/Sc9zTRzc57I/AAAAAAAAAZU/5Vo4F0EcXfY/s1600-h/Flower+Girl+download+MJBee+09.jpg

My mouth is still very painful but hopefully the anti-biotics will start to work. I am silently freaking out at the thought of having my tooth taken out but the thought of spending hundreds of pounds on a root canal that probably won't work just doesn't make sense. We are off to see U2 at Wembley tomorrow :j, meal for my dad's birthday on Saturday (think steak will be off the menu for me as chewing anything is difficult - maybe I'll have the soup?) and then I have my long awaited craft fair on Sunday . I've also been asked to make 3 more nappy cakes for the florist as they have sold 3 of the 6 I originally sold them :T. So, too much to do but it should all hopefully help keep my mind off what is going on with my tooth
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hi - has anyone come across any 'freebie' backing papers with baby elephants on? preferably in neutral colour? Need some to cover cakeboard for a nappy cake I'm making...
Rainmac - really like the Love/birdy image - thanks for that!! x0 -

Hello
Lei - What a lovely card - are they difficult to do?
Polly - Congratulations to abusybee 8lb 6oz!! Very pretty card.
Gemma - How's the poor cat getting on please? Thanks for setting the challenge I've wanted to stitch a card for ages but not had the impetus sp? so this is it.....
Rainmac - Hope all goes well for your busy weekend! My dentist offered me a couple of valium (to take away some of the anxiety) when we talked about me having a tooth out maybe you could ask for some? Shame they don't issue 2 wks worth automatically with the appointment! Thanks for the freeby links.
Rusty - Methinks it wont only be your daughter missing your son like mad! Perhaps now your mojo is back it will distract you! Why not ask him for a target of number/type of cards to make while he is away to help you?
Wam73 - Welcome!
Off to look for elephants......the first lot I found turned into rhino's!0 -
Have managed to find a cute elephant - not exactly what I wanted but it'll have to do cos I'm running out of time!! It was actually someone's avatar I copied & pasted!! Fly to Spain on Saturday & have to take the nappycake with me so must get it finished!! Will post photos on my blog once done! Thanks for looking though Marg!!0

Hi, its me again, just wanting to pick your brains! A few pages back Skiergirl posted a link for a template with garden things on i.e. wellies, trowel etc. It is my friends birthday soon and wanted to do her a card with a welly on as she has just bought a really funky pair. I have got the card and was going to stick some paper on it and then put the welly on card and cover with contrasting paper and raise it off with sticky pads. Does this sound ok? or for a first attempt is it too tricky:rolleyes: Is there a certain thickness card to use for the raised up part? All help greatly received. Oh also in the pack of cards I got a sheet with sentiments on - what do I do with these? Cut them out and stick the greeting on - or are they to be photocopied to be used some other way0

ThanksThe iris folding wasn't necessarily hard just VERY time consuming and quite fiddly - I ended up covered in pritt stick and a couple of time I did put the pieces in the wrong place but luckily noticed before it was too late. Think I was a bit optimistic trying to do four lots for the first time though lol x
