Good luck at the hospital, not sure if that's the right thing to say, I just want them to sort you out so the pain goes away.

I wondered if it may be an abcess, had a bit of a look online during the early hours ;) Got myself a dentist appointment this morning, it's going to hurt isn't it and cost a lot :(

Certainly sounds like one from my previous experiences (they were horrible and for 4 years ruined my christmas days!!) but I had to go cold turkey (haha no pun intended) and ride the pain out til dentists were open again!

Thanks for all the wishes ... I went there, saw a lovely (rather cute looking) doctor ... ha pulled and tugged, and bent and twisted and everything else .... basically I now have a wait of upto 4 weeks to have an MRI scan ... then when the results are back from that I will know what happens next :( I aint looking forward to it!

Rusty Ooh you get to go in the giant doughnut :D You should be ok hunny. You just lie there and have a little nap, whilst they move you into the doughnut and out again ;)

Furrypig Love your card. The black and pink one is beautiful.

Marg Hope DH has a great birthday. Bet he will still love the card, no matter how its made. Because he will know it was made with love.

Yep I am home from the dentist with a week's worth of anti-biotics as it is an abscess and I am booked in for 2 weeks time to have the tooth taken out , not looking forward to it but apparently my nerve is very fragmented  and a root canal is not a good option. I'm ok with that cos I think once the tooth isn't there it can never cause any more problems and having the blooming thing out is soooo much cheaper than a root canal - £400+ pounds plus a crown on top of that  and that's an NHS dentist

Rusty, glad you saw a nice doctor, once you've had the MRI you can get some answers as to what they will/can do for you ;)

Marg, hope you have a great day with your OH x

It will be fine, I had one years ago and panicked about it but the actual thing was fine ;)

great cards dawn, choccy and furry :T

sorry to hear about your abcess rainmac, at least you've got your antibiotics now. bet you're not looking forward to having it out though, ouch!

I hate waiting for an upcoming appointment when you know you'll have to have something awful done, just gives you more time to get nervous! the last time I went I had to have an injection, and cause my dentist knows what I'm like she didnt even tell me she was about to do it, just said "ok let me have a look then" and stuck the needle in!! I was grateful afterwards though as I would have behaved like a child if I'd known what was coming :rotfl:

hope you don't have to wait too long for your MRI scan Rusty xx

my mum's taken the cat back to the vets today as she won't eat, even ham which she usually loves and sits by the fridge waiting for :( she is drinking water though so thats one thing. we went on sunday to see her and she was looking very sorry for herself, suppose she doesn't like being caged but unfortunately they can't let her try and jump anywhere else it will make everything worse. Hope the vet can give her something to boost her appetite a bit, poor thing
