The Wife & Gemm thanks for the advice - I think I will give that fiskars thing a miss. I think I would be wasting my money when I could ask santa for a cuttlebug or sizzix - but honestly I cant make a decision to save my life:rolleyes: Just when I think I'll leave it the little thoughts start at the back of my head again - talking to me telling me to order one:confused: as well as stamps, promarkers and other little lovely things!! :rotfl:

You can pick up the Cuttlebug for £46 and the embossing folders cost abut £4 each - it's the Nestabilities which are the most expensive at £16 a set but they are so versatile and worth it! I got my Cuttlebug for my birthday after i'd been making cards for a couple of months and find it so easy to use plus it's allowed me to do more with my cards including making them more professional looking x
  • Hi

I've not been on for a while, i got fed up with making cards, and not having a room, was sick of the living room looking like a bomb has hit it.

But it's christmas time and guess what i'm back, butn 1st i have some wedding invited to make for my daughter, yesterday she bought some rich cream card from papermill for me to make invites.

I've seen a few ideas i like, i'm a simple person, so not to fussy for me.

If i post a few links to the pages could i pick your brains please as to how to do the cards.

    1st - http://www.docrafts.co.uk/community/gallery/item.aspx?item=3054460

Can't fathom out how to do this one, any ideas please.

    2nd - http://www.docrafts.co.uk/community/gallery/item.aspx?item=3033716

I love this one, but how is the wedding invitation written is it stamped or peeled offs

    3rd - http://www.docrafts.co.uk/community/gallery/item.aspx?item=3014848

Not the card, but how are the toppers on this card done, are they printed off on a computer and if so, any ideas how.

    Thank you

    Good Evening ladies

How are you all? Hope everyone is ok?

Does anyone know of any offers on for a Cuttlebug at the moment please?

I did get a Cricut for my birthday a few weeks ago but would quite like to have a Cuttblebug too to compare them and whatever one I use least, I'll sell on.

Gemma & Padster - Card craft UK have a fab shop in Lancaster more stamps than I have ever seen anywhere & prices compared with those I've seen on the web. I spent a lot of elvish money there on Friday! I got a punch from them a bit back that wasn't on the website but they had them in the shop & so I went to get it so it might be worth asking them if there's anything else you want......

Salesadmin - Thanks, I'll watch for postie on Wednesday.

I'll go back & read properly now 'cos I'm sure I've missed loads. Sorry ladies but I'm struggling to keep up

Craft Superstore have it for £54.95 and if you use the discount code PC22 to get 15% off it works out at about £46.71 with about £7 in loyalty points to spend on your next purchase! x

  • Rainmac - the xcut is fab isn't it - sounds like you had a great trip to the warehouse!! Hope your "little man" feels better soon.

mary - glad to hear your OH is on the road to recovery.

Saint_Chris - good to have you back. She has just printed the text on the first card and added a few adhesive gems - it looks really effective though! Again on the second and third cards it looks like the text has been printed, on the third I would guess that she has drawn the antennae onto the white card with a pen. Does any of that help at all??????

thanks, but i'm not sure how to do that, can anyone help me on this

  • Saint_Chris - I'm afraid I am absolutely useless when it comes to printers - I have fallen out with mine - I'm sure someone will be able to help!
