  • I think I would struggle with the round the page ones. I saw them in my local craft shop yesterday - £28! The Nellie Sneddens look like a cheaper alternative, but I guess you're limited size-wise then. I do think the punch and stamp sets look interesting. My wish list so far for the NEC (if I have any money) is Nellie Sneddens, a leaf punch (something like this one), and distressing inks. I've never used distressing inks, so would have to watch a demo first :p

The Nellie Sneddens are good. Ive got the oblong one and just bought the threaded ribbon and flower maker one. Id like to try the distressing inks too but i am soooo messy with things like that :rotfl:You should see me with glitter. Ive started on my NEC list too ;). Lets hope they have a demo at NEC we will have to see if we can find a stall with some on and get them to show us :D

CraftyJuju It was just after bonfire night last year. Friday 6th November. Im not sure of this years dates but i will have a scout round and see if i can find out for you :D

I went to a Stampin' Up Party last night. Spent a bleeding fortune!

Ordered loads of bits. They are really pricey - like stamps come in big sets for £30, instead of being able to buy them individually. I did get a roller stamp, but everything else was just bits and bobs.

I've posted a couple of times about having trouble with stamping, but I had no trouble using SUs stamps. I didn't stand up, or use a mat, and it came out really clear. So I don't know if its the ink, the stamp, or both! I got two free stamp sets with my order, and ordered some pink and some turquiose ink. My mum got me lots of bits for my birthday, as well!

It might actually be the stamp... I have one that is a santa collage one, the only way i can get it to stamp is to stand on it when its on the floor. Believe me i have tried everything and its the only way :rotfl:
As for ink ive only ever used Stayzon ink. I have others but figured if its not broke why fix it ;) Saying that i bought a set of 7 metalic inks yesterday off QVC again .... Quidco has alot to answer for :rotfl:

I would love to go to a SU party, but i dont think i would be able to control my spending.. I do love stamping

    **waves** at Rusty

Wish i had been on the beach, fish and chips ....yummmmm

I'm soooo keeping my fingers crossed that work will let me change my holiday for the Fri in March!

Had a crafting hour or so today making Birthday cards for Daddy with the Kiddies today. I let them loose with a coulple sheets of my stickers & my glitter glue, there on my blog :D

Tonight I'm stating the Sock Creature I'm making my hubby for his 30th Birthday on Sunday...he's still a big kid...then again I think he always will be :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:its great, keeps us young :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:its going to be a monkey, he saw it in the book & he said he liked it so I thought as a surprise I'd make it.

  • CraftyJuJu - sounds like you had a fun day; the children's cards are fab. What a great way to combine half-term and crafting ;)
Sunrise - love the cards and boxes, such a good idea. No idea on pricing though I'm afraid.
MadFrog - I love your box. :p I've not tried making a box yet, my scor-pal has only been used on a few cards. I made a lovely waterfall card for my friend's LO, but forgot to take a photo of it. :o
Rusty - with all that fresh air and food, the LOs should sleep well tonight ;)
Jazabelle - I wouldn't dare go to a SU party. The stamps look great, but so expensive. I'd hate to fall in love with them!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Didn't you order the clear santa collage?? why does it not stamp right? have you tried the rubber on it like someone on here told me to try? it worked for me and now I tend to use rubber on any new ones before using, this is only for clear ones though as the others stamp fine?

*waves* back at you!! .... the chip shop is on the beach, it is very expensive (for the 3 of us it cost £13.20 ) but it is delicious ... on one half it is a chippy and on the other half it is an ice cream shop, the ice cream is to die for!! I had ferrero rocher flavour ice cream yum!

Rainmac - I noticed some lovely cards on your blog with penny black stickers, Did you literally just stick them on and that is it? I have never used stickers but having seen your lovely creations I have purchased some pepper & friends stickers today (they were really cheap!! 99p a pack!) there are a few nice ones in there but having never used them before it is a bit of a stab in the dark!!
