Thank you for all your comments on my baby shoes. I hope I didn't put any of you off by saying they were fiddly - please make them anyway cos they are just sooo cute when you see them made up. Bought some white tissue paper at lunchtime so I just need to make a matching box. I was thinking of just putting a small tag type card in with them.

I know some of you have made boxes in the past - what thickness of card do you use? I'm using 160gsm do you think that will be thick enough or should I double it up?

Craftygranny Big hugs to your little ones. They are both incredibly brave. Most adults would be wrecks at the thought of going through what they are. Everything crossed all goes well for them both.

    Giggle I love the bee

Ooh back from our woodland thing - thought there would be a strop when there wasn't planes to make but bugs!! However, all ok and a walk & fresh air as well however home now and straight back on the xbox - I need talk though I am straight on her (cough)
DTB & Melissa - thank you!!!! Off for a visit to Sarahs Cards fingers crossed. Oh Melissa popped your card in the post today - hopefully you should get it tomorrow.
peppop - lovely baby shoes - I dont think I would be any good making them I have a touch like a baby elephant!!!

PepPop - I steer clear of making boxes - they drive me crackers!!!

Ali - I had a quick look for the orbit papers - a lot of stores stock them for about 80p a sheet - this place is the cheapest that I could find for the collection pack - and they also sell the stamps:

if you were only after a little bit I could send you enough to make a couple of cards when I send your swap card off - I think I've got 1 sheet of the monster paper and maybe another one - save you spending a bomb on postage!

Melissa - thank you for your offer that is very kind, but no you keep them - I think I might be brave and try etsy as it was only a couple of dollars a lot cheaper than here.

Ali - okay - I've ordered loads of stuff from America and never had any problems. A lot of the stamps I get are so much cheaper over there - the only downside is waiting for your order to arrive!!!!

Thank you for that - I am a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to things like that - but knowing others have used it gives me confidence!

I was blog-hopping while having my coffee in work and thought I'd share this with you. It put the smile back on my face - having a rubbish day.

  • JHB - Thank you, thank you , thank you :j:j They arrived today :D

Dragonllew - great cards and the one by Aimee is very cute

Craftygranny - great news about Carly and fingers crossed everything goes well for Alicia

    Nannyboo - sending hugs

The Wife - hope you feel better soon

flourgirl - well done on your win

    Hi kelda and welcome

Popkins - hope you feel better soon

Rusty - hope your DD is better soon

    ali - fab cards

Peppop - those shoes are gorgeous, love the sentiment on that card
  • Sally - I love your DDs teddy towel cake, she's obviously as talented as her mother!
Giggle - your 'bundles' are lovely, everything matches really well.
PepPop - how cute are those baby shoes? Yours are much nicer than the ones on the blog you got the template from ;)
Skiergirl - glad they arrived safely (and speedily). I'll try to post a pic on my blog later of the card I made DD for her 21st using the numbers, they look great coloured and then coated in glossy accents.
craftygranny - great news on Carly. It's a shame Alicia has to stay 2 weeks longer, but at least she's there now. You must be missing her already.

I've had an email from ArtyMiss; they have free p&p until Sunday (not sure if there's a minimum order though). They can be quite expensive for some things, but they have new 'bug embossing folders for £3.99 and some nice stamps in the sale section.

I've been trying again to comment on blogs (using GoogleID and openURL) but am still getting nowhere. I type in my comment, select user ID, then whether I click on publish or preview, my post just disappears. I really want to start entering challenges again, and trying my luck for blog candy. :( I think I might just have to start again and create a new blog.

Speaking of challenges - I wasn't here for a while before/after xmas, are we not having our own challenges anymore?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
