    hi, you can get free bible on the UK e-bay but you have to pay the postage. I think it may cost around one pound. My friend was pleased to have one.

    There a number of very readable translations of the Bible - which contrary to what the JWs will tell you are accurate translations! I would suggest an NIV (New International Version) or possibly a NKJ (New King James - which is the Old King James Version with all the thees and thous updated to you and yours). Many churches will give you a copy for free.

    I would ask a JW for one if I were you. They do try very hard to get to the original version and always seem to encourage people to look into their Bibles!

    I lost my little Gideon's Bible which I'm gutted about as I really liked it. i got it years ago when I went to school.

    My first thought was to steal one from a church, they're normally quiet and don't seem to 'up' on security.

    Then realised they do have the best CCTV known to mankind, he who watches all, The Lord God Almighty.

    Don't reckon you'd get a fine or a record, but think infinity in hell might be worth avoiding.
