Just read your comment and thought i had to just mention that actually the original scrolls and manuscripts had the name Jehovah in over 7,000 time lol. Most have got it in their translations at Psalms 83:18 or the foreward explains that they have removed the name. Just though i'd clear that up

You have misquoted me - in my post I said 'The most obvious example being the 'name' 'Jehovah' which has been inserted throughout the New Testament' (which was never in the original scrolls)

A few years ago I contacted the Gideon people through their website, asking if they would be able to send me a bible. They e-mailed me back really quickly and said they would be more than happy to send me one.

A few days later, a lovely man came round to my house, bringing with him a brand new Bible and a letter recommending some passages in the Bible that would be good to start with.

I still have my Bible and I love to read it when I'm really down. It gives me hope.
