Good news all round, and that doesn't happen much here.
Physio went really well, shes pushed to get me into the hydrothearpy pool at another hospital, 30 mile round trip, but the pools closed at our local hospital, been over 2 yrs but there still referring people and saying its a long list!! Hopefully that help the knee and the aches and pains.
Best news - Got Prague booked, so exicted, - so silly but after the 1st quote of over £600 I didn't think get there, don't go to later in the yr. The flights aren't the best evening flights, the alternative was 3 hrs earlier, but that was double the price.
So I've flight, paid for luggage (they give u 10kg for hand luggage free, but I know wouldn't manage that), private taxi transfer both ways, and 5 ngts bed and breakfast, all taxes and all the adds on £314. So silly but it was actually cheaper for me to book double room that it was a single room, so me not complaining at that.
The hotel got a tram stop almost outside, and 10 min walk to the castle, had good reviews on trip advisor.
The dodgy tooth is holding in at the moment, so touch wood we could be ok.
Got to start assisgnment 2mor, no peace for the wicked - just wish could remember when!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
that is a lot of good news....good price on holiday0

Just had the most amazing news, when I booked for Prague, asked for medical seats, just had an email back, and the aircraft i'm going on doesn't do medical seats, - so there giving me 2 seats (no additional charge for the 2nd one) thats a budget airline.
I could jump for joy, but think would make a hole in the floor!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Got a cheque this morning for £50 (thou took 3 yrs to get there) so dolphin fund having a gd boost.
Absolutely shattered today, just think the week has just caught up with me, yesterday had doc's in morning, then running around sorting malaria tabs out, time got dinner and couple bits done at home, it was time for the goveners meeting, straight out from there, picked my mate up as we were going to theatre, so 11pm last ngt eating beans on toast for my tea!
Missed my blood test morning - apparently I was out for the count and no-one could wake me, so I'm going for that at the hospital Mon, got follow up Fri - diabetic testing........ so daft not working, but feel like done 100 hr week.
DD just gone to ballet, then shes off to youth club, then got tutorial 2mor.... I know they say no rest for the wicked, but by heck I wish could remember when I'd been wicked! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
good news on the seats..and very MSE
great news on cheque and boo to being tired and run off your feet0 -
Not a bad weekend, had tutorial yesterday, thou I hadn't got concentration head on, but managed to get through it, think Friday had just shattered me. But did have 40 winks when got home.
Did the census on-line, as darling mother made a boob on the form, so quicker to go on-line, but they want to know the inns and outs of a ducks rear!
Not to much done today, printed all the paperwork off for Praque, I know its not till later in the yr, but did it all now while thought of it, so thats done.
Did a new snowball calculator, that was a nightmare, when I had all the cards in, it went mad again and estimated 99 years...... so for a rough idea, I put one card in at a time, put that on a spreadsheet, then over the week, see where the earlier cards finish and then add that money to biggest one, won't be 100% accurate, but at least give me a new debt free date.
If I'd have just kept going the 1st time I'd of got there, just don't think the lightbulb stayed on long enough, whereas I've "worked" my rear in the sense of making sure I pay everything as I can, this be the last yr of big hols, have a few treats on the way, but get there eventually. I feel like saying why is it so easy to get into debt, but a damm nightmare to get out of....
Bed calling, blood test in morning for diabetics, then massive lecture later in the week!! xx
Decided now that going to pre-book dolphin excursions before we go, rang the CC company to see what there are charges are, explained that I'd need to put the money in before booked them, they were really helpful, said $750 would be about £486 inc commission etc, and that I'd be fully protected if the fitm went bust, or forget to pick us up from the hotel, if we book direct worked out with their "in-house" offers we're save about $100 so makes a massive difference (accounted the £500 sterling - based on direct prices), - hoping to get that sorted next week - be one less thing to worry about, and that way we know we've got the dates etc that we want. mad rush to top the fund, but we're do it!!xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Not much going on, trying to get head round an assisgnment, but not working, - just keep getting headaches - the last 2 weeks its just been one thing after another either been govererors meeting, PTA, tutorial or studying, overlapped courses before and managed, but this new business one with being a level 3, and it be the one that would get me the degree, the level of workload seemed to have doubled from level 2, guess it wants you to do more and not be handed everything on a plate, which fair enough.......... but just a shock to the system, but the sports course ahead on that, thou over next 2 weeks got 3 assisgnments to do, then it easies off, and finish sports in June, so just one course be more manageable.
few more dribbles come out of the bank, with the next payment take it over 2k, so thats good achievement.
As got DD's bedroom furniture sorted, thou were waiting for it, my wardrobe needs replacing, so as we both had same furniture, when she has her wardrobe, I'll have her old one, but do need to replace mine, choose one frok argos, middle range one, 3 piece set add in another bedside cabnet £190, so plan is to save vouchers, even if its a yr before replace it, - by doing it from vouchers, not taking any money away from debt busting.
Off to bed, - Bailey has now decided to polute the air - sure its an effort for me to move!! took the hint, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Some good news - just checked on Open Uni page - and got the results from my last course - Introduction to Management, and I passed, got the top scores for all the required elements....... xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
