Good news - the car had its MOT and service, and it passed its MOT, came in at £197 so v plzed with that.
Got 73% on my assisgment really impressed with that, hadn't really got a clue what I was writing about!!
Dads been nice, and arranged for mum to have a basket of fresh flowers - he needed a gentle push, but we got there...... there being delievered thurs am, so shes got some surprises!!
Travel plans on hold again - rebooked Tunisia for me + little'un, due to go Wed for 11 ngts, literally same price as what we paid for Easter, wasn't going to tell her to the last minute, when I had physio for my knee she didn't think I'd be fit to fly, still can't put any weight on left knee.... so went to GP last ngt, and he's agreed..... and bless him. he said send the medical form direct to him, he won't charge me..... so got to phone travel company and the ins 2mor.
Back to studies 2mor, went to back this morning and got better childs account sorted out, very mse as they gave as a free cup of tea......
Then it was take mother to Argos, as dad was buying her a ring for her birthday, about 10 choices later, either out of stock or too small, with the arthritis in her hand she needs a bigger size but we finally got sorted.
Shes choose that one xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Say happy birthday to your Mum for me.
Well done on the assignment x0 -
Some good news - my smear results came back normal (phew) as I'm on yearly recalls suppose to get the results quicker, bout 9weeks, but its done for a year.
Had tutorial this morning, good as it made some of the next assisgnment a bit clearer, that it till I do it!! Thou the room had no windows, no air conditioning, glad to get home.
Dad took dd to school fete, didn't go had a headache from this morning, went to get a shower freshen up, opened the bathroom window to get the steam out, looked - there was all car booters up the side of the fence by the house, so glad was still dressed!!
Got couple hrs sleep, don't whether its the weather, and the leg playing up, apparently as Ican't put much pressure on my left foot, it has now affected my hamstring, could only happen to me!!
Bar that all ok, mums got over the shock off her bday presents- surprised her with a new table and chairs from Argos, thou diasppointed, had a basket of flowers made up for her, they did freshias and redroses, mum checked the basket, 3/4 of the freshias are dead, the roses are drooping and dying, paid £20, might not seem compared to some prices, but u expect them to last longer than 2 days......
xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I would put a complaint into the florist myself0

All ok here, such a brain box, turned up for solicitors appointment 24hrs early.... had to wait half an hr for dad as he'd gone to pick dd up from school.
We had a letter from the school, there updateing all the records as dd goes to Key skills 2, (my day it was juniors!!),(I know everyone had the same letter) but the letter says they must have absent parents address details as legally they have to inform them of dd's performance records and anything else that she does....... and everything I went through with her dad and his family, thats the last thing that I want, I've had no contact with him for 8 years..... for all I know he could of moved, but thought the safe route was to go back to the solicitors who dealt with it all along and see where I stand.
Tried a different firm for our health tablets, they had a special offer on glucosamine sulphate, recommended to try it by the physio, so family order, we've had 2 free gifts, arthritis book, some posh handcream, dds multi-vitamins come todays, she very pleased as the containers look like bigger versions of tic tacs. Back to Physio on Friday, my knee just doesn't seem to be getting any better, and now its gone into the hamstring..... need an andonis to rub it better!!
Not much else to report, got an assisgnment due in by Sunday, another one by next fri- no peace for the wicked.
Good news - rang the florist, firstly she denied that the flowers would of died so quickly, so I "kindly offered" to bring them into the market where her store is, but does she realise that her stall is the furthest from the lift, and the flowers still have her card in!
She then changed her tune.... and apologised..then blamed it on the weather..... thought here we go again, but she is going to do a new basket of flowers, did I want roses and freshias again, asked could we possibly have some other flowers instead, which was no problem, and after that she couldn't apologise enough.
Money wise I've hit the 4.5k target, can't believe I've done it, reckon that by end of the month be 5k. The money just seemed to be swallowed up, that we had refunded of the hol, - one lot went off the credit card, so got to save to replace that, the 2nd lot paid for the trip we should be on, had the claim form from the insurers this morning, so will get the part off to the docs, and then after 11th July, the hol company will send me a no/show cancellation letter, so fingers crossed that go ok. If it does - go up off next yrs holidays. Don't think I'll chance Tunisia again this yr... dd has now decided she wants to go to Cuba now..... shes got my itchy feet!!!
Think thats me all out for now xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Great news there on the money front, flowers
I'm pretty sure the absent fathers don't have to have a copy..that could put some people in danger are they stupid?..the schoolmust have that wrong.
Good luck with physio,assignments and insurance0 -
Some good news, the claim form came from insurers, so have popped the medical one to the GP, so fingers crossed that should be ok.
Good news :j- saw the solicitor 2day, this is no 4 solicitor since 2002, but easier to keep with the same firm. Basically due to all the circumstances, I am perfectly within my rights to refuse to give any details and he's going to write a letter to the Head to explain fully the situation.:j. He was absolutely brilliant, and he explained that it would only apply if the father had parental responsibility, so the school letter was unlawful;).
I thought I was going to get unstuck, as when all the "his" saga it was one step before court, as he was told one more incident -then its court for a injunction etc, but of course he didn't take it any further and went quiet. So technically theres no child protection order in place.
What annoys me the school have had copies of the solicitors letters previously stating no contact etc, theres a password system set up if anyone rings and says there coming to get her on dads behalf (he does the school run), even if dd is going to one of her friends for tea, then we still have to pick her from the school and hand her over ourselves to the parent. So knowing all this, I just felt like hitting a brick wall. I know they say time is a healer, but its incidents like this that kicks me into a panic frenzy,
But it honestly feels like a weight has lifted off my shoulders, can't wait to pop the letter to school.
Another good news, mums had a new basket of flowers delievered this morning, with a lovely card apologing for the others, they've done a lovely pale peaches really summer colours, they look alive!!
Can't believe how quick the 5k target be hit, reckon by the end of the month, it will be 5k, had the loan 12 months, and thats had 10 payments, so its coming down each month,
Next plan is when this batch of credit card statements come through, re do SOA, paying £63 a month for 5 months, as I overspent on my OU grant, but done 2 payments, 3 to go..... get there eventually!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Very weird day, all my credit card bills come in one day!! so plan is fresh snowball, and see where I'm going with that, and a review of the finances.
Good day for DD - had school report, she has done brilliantly, above avergae on most of her subjects, the only negative (for want of a better description), her hand writing is all over the place, and changes, so we're working on that. So that be the summer holidays sorted........xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Good news re the solicitor...I thought what was in the letter was wrong.
