Just wondering if you managed to get back home yet?....can't blame her not wanting to pack and wanting to stay here...lol..
Enjoy your night out tomorrow.0 -
Home safe, thou we took the slighly!! long route..... missed the junction and the sat nav wanted me to go via Birmingham..... big no no, so put in postcode for Icecream Farm...... it was bliss, dd had malteser icecream, I had a double (it was last day of hol), had white choc chunk one side + raspberry pavola other.. it was lovely.
Finally persuaded dd to get out of bed at 9am,,,,,,,the alarm went off at 8, she materalised when the car was packed....have to admit it was haphazard packing, so she had the laundry bag by her!!
Left the emptying of the car to dad....only took him an hr!!
Bailey is so adorable, he licked me to death, then later on started the nipping stage....dd is absolutely besotted with him, he has dad absolutely wrapped round his little finger.
Thank you again for everything, Amy and her mum came to say bye this morning, and Amy sends a big kiss to her fav boy!!
The financial news
Chickened out of looking at online banking etc
Had letter from Capital One - due to the current climate they have no option but to increase my interest rate fto 34.9%!!!!!!
But very weird - Aqua (normally 39% - last on the list card) - as a valued customer anything i buy between now and Nov their do me a special rate of 15.9%, as in this current climate they wish to look after their valued customers......Translates to she spends money
Good news is the balance transfer went over to dads card ok, but sods law could of done with it myself, hindsite is a wonderful thing.
Will be brave and do all the onlinje banking etc this week, got to pay some bills and see where we go.
had a nice surprise with an ebay parcel, brought some Rachel hale quilt covers for dd, and the 1st parcel went astray (me panicking spent £45.00 (inc postage) on 3 double quiltcovers), the seller was lovely, refunded me £10.00 of the original £15.00 postage and she sent me a free Quilt cover. I was plzed enough with the postage refund, but it sounds daft, restores your faith in people.
DD - she even asked the woman in reception this morning could she stay on as she had seen special offer - the woman thought she'd got a booking, so we have comprised booked a weekend for March, another gd turn, they were sorting me out the best deal, and knocked £40.00 off the bill, (which was cost of takeing Bailey with us).
" 2 good turns in one day, I did very well"
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Bailey sounds absolutely wonderful and adorable..I bet he's grown since last week.
That was lovely of Amy and her mum to say bye..she was a lovely little girl.
DGS is at the airshow today with his nanna so will be having a whale of a time...
LOL..at going for the ice cream...you didn't go wrong on purpose did you?...bet your DD is happy to be back home again now she's got her new dog.
great news on the e-bay parcel and re-booking for next year.0 -

B-Card £650
Halifax - £1,650 life of balance at 5.9% (what I loaned dad)
Overdraft £1,100
Aqua - Think is about £100.00
Capital One - £650.00
Evans = £0.00
Vanquis - def clear - in process of closeing that account.
At the end of the day been expensive couple of months, with the car etc, booked a hol for dd and me next year, paid a wack of bills off, brought dd a laptop for her bday, (thou mum going half with me). I went slightly off the rails after loseing Whisky.I've brought a wack of christmas presents, thou as and when the money comes back in for the neutral challenge will be paying it staright off.
I wont know properly till the end of the month the exact amount that I owe on cards as the bills come through. But in one way had I of not lent dad 2k to pay his credit card bill, and have everything clear, but I helped him out, they have done so much for me over the years.
I know the rest of this year will be treading water, re the cards etc, then come Jan I can have a good bash at clearing them off, as they sday Rome wasn't built in a day, just means cutting a few corners and paying extra as and when. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
on positive side had a free night at the cinema last night - will be freee when get expenses back, went to see Bruno, its so near to the knuckle, but I was in tears with it, glad went to the loo on way in!!
Get ticket refunded, milegae, and pop-corn refunded, so I was very mse and took in my own drink!!
Digressing again - my daughter she is unbelievable - in a nice way, when she was born I set up a savings account, and put all loose change in their for her, some months we onlyhave £1.00, others if its a good month a £5.00, to give her ahead start when shes 18.
Couple of yrs ago I started saveing the 50ps towards swimming with the dolphins, when we are away she gets more change, as we out most days andmum contributes her change.
In 2 weeks my dd made £47.00 between the 2 accounts - guess whos not going to be flavour of the month tomorrow in the bank!!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Can you not say to barclays that you'll shut the account and pay it off at the rate it was before it went up.
A lot of the card companies are putting their rates up I believe.
Apart from that everything is sounding good for you.0 -
