  • just booked a return flight for 2 with Easyjet. The default baggage allowance was 2 x 20kg at 2 x £18, when I removed all baggage and then just added 1 bag I got a 32kg allowance for £18.

Is this just a glitch or a way of gettin some cheap extra allowance?

    Thanks for any advise

The cheapest card is NOT the ICE Sterling Card, it is the Neteller net+ card, which costs nothing at all.

I use Ryanair a couple of times a year to Denmark as not only is it cheap but also very convenient. My best price was the grand sum of 2p return a couple of years ago and my next flight in March is £12 all in (return flight £2 plus £10 for use of debit card). I'm lucky in being flexible as to when I fly and keep my eye out for their offers. 10kg of hand luggage is ample for a few days and I never buy anything on the plane. Incidentally so far Stansted have always had big boxes of plastic bags all round the airport so I always grab a handful

The charge to book hold luggage online with Easyjet is £9 each way, not £18 as it says in the article. And if you're lucky enough to get old the old version of Easyjet's website the price dops to £8 per bag.

It also gives the best reward. If you sign up with somebody's referral the referrer gets EUR16 and you get EUR8, great offer, given that some cards even charge you for uploading money to your account, Neteller actually gives you money. I suspect with high demand they can soon change their T&C
  • I just ordered the FairFX card and I could change the amount from £100.00 to a min of £10. Martin's article details the min amount as £100.00.

In the end I topped up £50.

Same here - I loaded up with £10 rather than the £100 with no problems.

I just tried to book some flights for next year on Flybe.com:

    £6.65 (Outbound fare)
    £28.00 (Ts and Cs)
    £26.14 (Inbound fare)
    £47.27 (Ts and Cs)

    Total: £108.60.

But this total is wrong. It should be £108.06.

I tried this on another itinerary and the same thing happens - the last two digits of the total are transposed.

Anyone else experienced this? I have emailed Flybe about it.

Also, their charge for paying by card seems to have gone up to £6 per person per return for debit cards and £9 per person per return for credit cards.
  • Hi a post ofice travel money card can also be used as it is an electron card and you can pay in euros so it's even cheaper
  • I am a paraplegic and wheelchair bound. I have not travelled on budget airlines since the extra charges became the norm. Obviously my wheelchair has to be loaded in the hold as does a standing frame and other medical necessities, consequently my hold baggage is quite considerable. Before the present charging regime all the necessary extras for disabled living were not included in baggage allowance and carried free. In addition I was boarded first so as not to suffer the indignity of an audience while I was carried to my seat and also because I cannot sit in certain seats. Has anyone, in a similar position to myself experienced what haoppens, and what is charged for, under the new extra charges regime.
    Many thanks John
