Thanks for that. Will look for them in Asda next time i'm in there. Had been freezing excess veg to use in stews etc as i hate to throw anything away! unfortunately have had to throw out fruit so this sounds fab!0

I use the ones from Lakeland and they're very good too - I bought a packet of big ones and a packet of smaller ones and they're nearly all going strong years later.0

I have bought these too but found that they didn't actually preserve the stuff for any longer than normal.Jane

I'm a fan of the lakeland stayfresh longer bags too. There's an earlier thread on different bags for keeping veg fresh so I'll add this thread to it to keep the replies and recommendations together.

...and they still get condensation on the inside of the bags, thereby getting my salad and carrots wet which makes them go manky, consequently making it a pointless exercise  I am trying to keep the stuff fresh and it's not working.
Is this just a problem I have (my salad drawer used to get terribly damp with condensation) or are these bags a waste of time (should I have gone to lakeland methinks....).
I have turned up the temp of my fridge but because its got a freezer compartment this freezes up REALLY quick (so have to keep defrosting or chipping away at the ice) and it makes the rest of the stuff in the fridge far too cold.

Hi Guys
Im sure you have all seen them, they claim to keep fruit and veg fresher longer. Have only one tried them out, do they really work.
It just that I woul love to only visit the market once a week rather than 2/3 times.
Thanks xx0 -
I love them - I use the ones from Lakeland and I think they really do work. You can reuse them loads of times too. My OH is in the dog house because he started binning them after he found them left out on the worktop to dry - he was being 'helpful'... I've had to buy some new ones.0

I've heard of these but wasnt sure if it was worth giving them a try, will see if I can get some tomorrow.
Thanx

I get these from Lakeland, and they're really good, especially for things like herbs and salad that go off quickly - they're a bit pricey but you can re-use them.2015 comp wins - £370.25

I get mine in Tchibo they are called potato bags but you can use them for any veg - quite good and so are the bread bags as well and a hell of a lot cheaper than lakelandBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
