i was mega chuffed to see the free postage and free bags offer. as i wantde to order a silicone liner thingy. but it was under a fiver and i didn't think spending another fiver on top of for postage made it worth while. but free postage i order it soon as i could.

I was also wondering withthe bags can you store things like cheese in them or is it only for fruit and veg ?

The web site said they could be reused many times.

What it didn't say was how many you get. I wondered at the time but then forgot about it. Thank you for answering that for me.
  • FireAngel already posted the info, but this thread gives the info for the free bags:

There is also free delivery at the moment (see first post in that thread), which saves quite a lot.

I went to order some stuff and they have withdrawn the free delivery code, seems too many people used it  Surely they are better with people ordering things than not.
  • Oh no, that's a shame. My order went in on Friday and it was free delivery then, but they have probably had too many orders for it to be cost-effective. It certainly is off-putting when they have such a high delivery charge - I normally wait until I can visit the store instead of buying online.

I also missed out on the free delivery code, but have just gritted my teeth & placed an order.

Nearest shop is 50 miles away & wd cost more than £4.50 to visit, & the items I wanted were all at least 50% off.

I 've been a customer since they were Lakeland Plastics & sold very good freezer bags...mind, that was in 1981!

Not when they are ordering 99p cling film and getting free delivery plus a free gift of keep fresh bags.

As this was posted in here I suspect a lot of people took advantage of the offer by buying the cheapest thing they could find. One person bought something for 47p and got the bags and the free delivery.

Just to let you know that the code 19944 for free stayfresh bags still seems to work even though it is for anyone who reorders in January. I have just received my free bags (I used the code) as well as the free gift for February too :)

Just wanted to let you know about these if you don't already!

I bought some of the Debbie Meyer green bags from Ebay a while ago now and am VERY impressed. Sometimes we buy fruit and veg which we dont get around to eating before it goes off. Since buying the bags the only thing I've had to throw away is one banana! I can now buy bigger (and therefore cheaper in the long run) bags of carrots, potatoes etc, we had some carrots with dinner today that have been in the fridge for 3 weeks and were still nice and crunchy. The bags can be reused lots of times, just rinse and dry before using again. I think I read somewhere that they work by stopping the chemicals being produced that makes the fruit/veg ripen and then spoil.

Only reason I'm posting this now is I went to Asda today and noticed that JML are now selling them, a pack costs £4.99 (cheaper than I paid on Ebay for the Debbie Meyer bags).

    Hope it helps someone
